he said the whole 700 people hall was packed and people we sitting on steps to hear him

Went on a road trip through Europe. While in brazil I was standing out side a clothing store, and there was a little girl having an argument with an elderly woman. They were shouting at eachother on the side of the street until the little girl did a hand gesture, Which I cannot particularly recall, but I know it was clearly not in her best interests. as the 60+ year old woman boot kicked the little girl, pulled out a switchblade, and started chasing her down the street. All the while the girls mother is completely appalled and starts chasing after the old woman chasing her daughter. The girl could not have been more than 11 or 12. So messed, I shat bricks.

What kind of state is the rainforest in there? I've heard the stories of the mass deforestation to clear land for raising cattle and whatnot, but don't really know anything past that.

I know I never want to go back there ever! I visited Rio when I was in the Navy. Wost port call I ever had by a long shot. Couldn't go anywhere because it was way to dangerous.
