You know, this is pretty awesome.
I know it was a anime.. Gundam etc.. but I mean, the technology is upon us. Everything that was science-fiction based ideas are becoming more realistic. This being evidence.
I know in the anime, gundams were elite fighting robots, being piloted by average citizens w/ proper training.. or just a gifted skill.. I suppose they were an elite fighting machine, because of their mobility, eh? I mean, to have a space-ship sized android w/ life-life mobility I suppose it would have better range of action against retro models like airplanes, heli's, etc..

So..
I know it would be even farther in the future, but i mean, technology could come to giant mobile-suit piloted warfare. The technology to build them is obviously here. Only a few more years of research and development before they're mobile and can be controlled/piloted.
