Due to sooooooo many emails, I decided to end this earlier.
CHANGED DATE: DUE DATE FOR ALL EMAIL ENTRIES WILL BE
MONDAY, MAY 4th at 6pm KST
Thank you all, NO MORE ENTRIES PLEASE! I'll have a list ready in a few days (around 250 emails to read and judge!)
--------------------------
Hello all.
Before I do this, I know I'm gonna regret it, so please limit your questions and comments unless they are absolutely necessary.
I am offering you guys the chance to buy a SKT1 shirt.
The price is 20,000 won + shipping.
I have 20 of each size (100/105/110) available. (60 total)
The SKT1 website has a bunch of other stuff too but I don't want to go thru the hassle of mailing out odd shaped stuff, etc. The reason why you guys can't buy them direct is because you need a Korean bank account with online banking. I also don't think that they ship overseas. Thus why I am doing this for you.
*** Please keep in mind, I don't know how much shipping is going to be as of right now. Remember that I am sending it directly from Korea so it might be a bit expensive. I am not doing this for profit so whatever the final price is, that's what it is. ***
Here's the catch. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED:
Step 1
1) Figure out what size you are and don't ask me. There are online conversion charts all over the place. Also, figure out how much 20,000 won is in your currency on your own time. www.xe.com
2) EMAIL me (no PMs!!!) to lilsusie@gmail.com with the following information.
- First and Last name - TL ID - Address with City and Country (so that I can figure out correct shipping) - Phone number with country code (Korean postal service requires it) - Size of shirt.
3) IN EMAIL!! Briefly tell me why you want this shirt so bad. ^^ The key word is *briefly* If you write me a novel, I prolly wont read it.
Due to the limited number of shirts, I will be limiting it to ONE (1) per person. I will judge all the responses and the best 20 responses (of each size) will be able to purchase the shirt. Be clever, creative and concise.
Step 2
After we have chosen the 60 names, I will check on shipping costs and such for you to your respective country and inform you of the price. If at that point you no longer wish to purchase the item, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP so that I can offer it to the next guy on the list.
I will post a list of the winners on the 10th of May. You will have 3 days to post your payment to me. If I do not have a payment from you, I will go on to the next person on the list.
Step 3 As for payment, I will give you my paypal address, where you will pay me in USD and hope that paypal fees don't rape me in the ass. I am doing this with my own money, not TL's baller account. You will be charged shirt + shipping + paypal fees.
* If you don't have paypal - but are in the states... PM me privately, we might be able to work something out. If you don't have paypal and are NOT in the states... you're shit out of luck.*
Step 4 As soon as I get payment I will ship out the item to you while you wait patiently for it. It may take as long as 3 weeks to arrive so please keep the "where's my shirt?!?!?" emails/PMs to a minimum.

Then don't order one Simple as that. I think Susie is offering a great service so if you don't like it then you can lump it. LOL @ Carnac - precisely, but there's always *someone* who has to bitch about things.
I will be basing it off of the shorts that you guys write. The more clever and creative you are, the better your chances ^^ It's not completely random - I just like to see that you're putting effort into this since I'm putting my own effort into it.
lol i wasn't very creative with my statement, maybe because I was so freaked out seeing this offer that I e-mailed immediately with a generic "I love Starcraft" type message. XD

this is amazing. Thanks for doing this. Although it's a bad sign that all of the mods are telling you that you have no idea how much work it's going to be.

edit: eww fees. o well i dont like skt1 anyway
These are fees from shipping and paypal. I'm already putting in my time, I'm not gonna lose any money by doing this. This is a service for you guys. I'm not a store. I don't care of you buy or not. I'm not making any profit.
Hai there! I have came upon this awesome coolness thread where I have submitted my e-mail as well b/c I am so interested in it.... though I do have a question though... (well 2)
1. Is there anything on the back of the shirt? seeing how I (and we) only saw the front of the T-shirt by the cover and by NeverGG!
2. You said you wanted our info of name, address and phone #.... that means you know where we live and how to contact us.... I just realized this but now I'm scared....
On April 30 2009 15:51 Boundz(DarKo) wrote: oh one question LilSuzaNNie ... when will you contact the ones that will recieve shirts and how?
On May 10th - after all the entries have been sorted through, I will make a post of the winners names. I am going to wait until all the entries have been submitted to allow an equal chance to those who have.

1) There is a SKT1 logo on the back, not very big. Maybe Neggy can post the back of the shirt eventually.
Darn and here I was the other 30% (possibly the only 30%) who haven't even said a single word of Bisu...... does this mean my chances now are slim to none b/c I did not include one of the top and famous players of SKT1 today???

Man that means a lot of people likes SKT T1 just cuz of Bisu... just like a lot of people like Oz just cuz of Jaedong, except Oz sucks as a team since the coach rely way too heavily on Jaedong and all the other players seem to be getting worse and that whole deal with Forgg :\
Seriously everyone on SKT is so likeable, that's why it's my favorite team. Fantasy, Best, Canata, Bisu, Boxer, Oov, Midas Bear, Doctor K, The Coach even the zergs like thezerg and that gangster Hyuk. Only guy that's LOL is like Mujuk but even he can win a game :p
On April 30 2009 16:51 coolcrimefighter wrote: If me and my friend write an uber email and you pick both of us to get a shirt, can we pay with the same paypal account?
haha of course. As long as I get the money, I dont care where it's coming from.
Too bad Pakistan isn't supported by PayPal (last time I checked.....) - and then ontop of that I doubt my family will like the idea of me spending so much money on an.... eSports "Jersey".
Anyway Great Idea Suz - and best of luck to the winners
I have 2 x 110 size of those shirts left from Minwoo in Cologne, if you find any extra special people who you feel are deserving please let me know, I'll give them away as gifts, I'll even pay for the postage.
Otherwise I might try and give them away in a competition somehow, I'm just not creative .
--
The shirts are quite nice, genuine Adidas - Made in Korea
I took the other one out of the packet only to realise it was way too big, neither have been worn though.
I really don't know what the shipping is. Maybe around 15-25,000 won, but it's really speculation. I have to get to the post office sometime to figure it out.
"roses are red, and violets are blue. You want my money, but I want it, too! So send me my shirt without much complaint, and you will be free of most all restraint."

I refuse to participate in your little win my heart for a t-shirt game.
meh i dont like skt1 shirts...... they are pretty plain, and if you look super closely you'll see the skt1 badge. Plus it doesn't even come with those awesome sponser advertisements D:>

Um super closely? No. You'd have to be blind to miss the two T1 logos printed on it. It doesn't come with the awesome sponsor advertisements because shockingly they don't want random Korean boys walking around wearing team shirts and getting mobbed by fans at live events. I can imagine the chaos and it wouldn't be pretty. Susie is awesome for even considering doing this for the foreign community. If you don't like it or you wanted another team's clothing or blah blah blah misc reason for bitching over this then I suggest you do the following;
1) Find a Korean friend willing to sign up to the official team site in question or wire money via a team's seasonal offer of merchandise. Good luck with that - it's a major hassle even for us living in Korea with Korean bank accounts.
2) Pay them via paypal/wire transfer to ship the items to you. Wait patiently by your mail box for two-four weeks.
3) Stop whining/being negative about the people here who are trying to help out fans who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to own a piece of SC merchandise. Do us all a favour and leave it out next time. If you don't have something positive to say then just don't comment.

Not sure why you have such a strong hatred for people who simply dislike the shirt. We certainly have great respect and appreciation for lilsusie doing this. No one insulted you or her. No one said they could do a better job than her. No one even went completely crazy and tore the shirt to pieces. The only thing that was expressed by some is that the shirt put out by SKT1 might not be to their liking. So I'm not exactly sure why you have to grill every person that simply is not too fond the shirt. This is a discussion topic pertaining to the shirt and people are entitled to opinions. You jumping on everyone's case is certainly not adding anything positive to the discussion either.

Actually I just pointed out salient steps for them to obtain their own merchandise if they so desire - so really I did contribute something. I think I'm just annoyed that people feel the need to comment about how they don't like this or they don't like that - it's just so pointless. No one cares if you don't like the design. Anyway, I've said my piece now so I'll leave it at that - it's just my opinion that people need to stop coming into threads like this and only saying what they *don't* like - at least back it up with something a bit less negative.

Susie is actually putting in a lot of effort to bring this to TL, and if you're just giving negative comments that will discourage her, I'm sure susie won't feel so happy about it.
Imagine your teacher putting in a lot of effort into her lessons, but you just tell your teacher "Your teaching method sucks". The teacher will feel like shit.
Bottom line is: In this kind of threads, if you don't like it or have nothing constructive to say, then don't.

I gladly pay Lil Susie twice the usual price for one of these shirts. Hell, Id even through in some extra dough for Lil Susie. Thats how much the team and the shirt means to me.

nah when someone is doing something as awsome as this and all he can do is point out flaws then he should stfu and keep quiet
Here is some advice: If you don't like the shirts, don't want any and/or are simply feeling the urge to complain for whatever stupid reason - don't. Just stfu. Otherwise I'll make you stfu by banning you. This is non negotiable and will be neither discussed nor appealed. You spam this thread - you die. End of story.
Is it possible for TL to "team up" with lilsusie on this to mass order "x" number of shirts so everyone can enjoy this? As an incentive, I'm sure everyone won't mind paying an extra 5 bucks/shirt to help TL/lilsusie out a little bit. It's really nice of her to do this and I think she deserves a little bit out of it.
I want to buy the shirt, but i want to know the shipment cost, im from Chile, southamerica... Someone knows how i can estimate the cost? how i can get the exact sum of money to make the payment to the "amazing" Lilsusie? some idea? a webpage to calculate the cost?

Lilsusie will tell you the shipping cost + shirt cost after you're (assuming that you are) chosen. Chances are very slim so you might as well try and get one first before worrying about the shipping cost. It won't be a huge problem if you turn the shirt down due to high costs since there are 1000 people in line behind you to get one.
Hey Lilsusie, there is something I want to say quickly.... I don't know if anyone else are feeling it who submitted the e-mail already but some of us (ESPECIALLY ME) seem to be very impatient regarding results of whether or not we were chosen to get a chance to receive the T-shirt of SKT1. I know it's wrong to think this way and that I should grow some patience in my mind but I've been going crazy whether or not I got accepted or rejected thus making me check my e-mail for 10-20 times a day.... So if it isn't too much of a favor, can you at least start e-mailing people who submitted to you to state whether or not they got accepted or rejected so that they can finally move on with their lives (and me). Sorry if this have gone too much seriousness, just I'm that type of person who needs to do what will happen to the next chapter before even finishing the current one... thanks..

Haha - I'm gonna let everyone know on the 4th. Patience, little one!
Also, even if people pooled money together, SKT1 doesn't have the shirts, I've basically bought them out. Otherwise I would have considered a preorder or something. They don't have the merchandise and I also don't feel like mailing out 100s of shirts.
Man, whoever gets a shirt should at least consider adding a nice tip for lilsusie. I imagine its a lot of work, because you gotta individually package and ship 60 packages to 60 different addresses, possibly across the entire world.
Aesthetically, I don't find the T1 shirt that appealing, but I still think it's pretty damn cool; it's from T1! Now they need one that's soaked in Boxer's sweat. ^^

Teamliquid: now with more nambla. (In addition to the apparent confusion heavonearth pointed out.)

I second that and I would be willing to pay more than is necessary if I got the shirt.

Well I'm sure glad that I'm at US and not at Korea seeing how where I am right now, Korea is just 13 hours faster, meaning I'll get to know my answer that much faster... (not really but still I like to believe.. lol)
I still think what you are doing is a really nice service for us and I haven't really seen you charging anything else for yourself. So I was thinking perhaps like the acceptable people have like an option to donate even an extra 5 dollars to her for her nice and thankful work she is doing to trying to get our T-shirts and all! Since I think 5 dollars isn't a big deal to pay more in my case, and imagine 59 other people paying an extra 5 dollars for her troubles, I think that's a really nice bonus and gift to her for helping us out getting the T-shirts to us..... ^_^
She's not doing this for money, it's to help out the community out of charity. To give her money, frankly, would be like an insult. I'm sure she wouldn't mind the extra cash but paying any incentive seems stupid as she's doing this out of kindness and not for money.
She would certainly deserve it but making every pay for Susie to get a profit would be disproportional to what she is achieving from this offer.

Hmm... come to think about it, you may be right and I probably just acted quickly without thinking (dam you 14 hour energy drink making me so hyper with no sense!). I'm just really happy and grateful someone in TL and that being lilsusie! idk... just a suggestion I thought of... I wouldn't really mind donating though but I'm really thankful for her for doing this for the community!!! (gosh, I'm saying all this and I still don't know if I got picked or not... lol!)

WTF, who would ever say no to money?! I don't have THAT much integrity!! I would never ask anyone for a profit, no, by God, I accept tips
I love what I'm doing, yes, but it IS a time consuming task (I've already kinda sorta started compiling a list - and a list of where you all live in the world.. -___-) not to mention the 60 shirts I will need to lug to the post office with no car (I have to bring the shirts in shopping bags to work, then walk 15 mins to the post office during my lunch break)

not to belittle the great offer that susie noona is providing, but when you guys are talking about tips for going out of her way etc, do you realize that this is exactly the same system that we have done for the other progaming shirts (except in a much larger scale of hundreds)? semioldguy is such an unsung hero.

THIS!!
SEMIOLDGUY - you are my hero. this is NOT a small task.
I'm done with collecting entries. Thanks all for writing and your kind words. I'll have a list ready soon, I promise! There were nearly 250ish emails. Whew!
For anyone who got rejected or missed out, I have one as well. Size 110 which I believe is between a L and an XL. The shirt has never been worn and was given to me as a gift by a Korean friend at WCG in Cologne. I didn't realize how big the shirt was at it was wrapped up and when I got home and went to wear it, realized it was far too big for me (I'm a medium). So if you're interested, send me a PM. Precedence to those in the United States and Canada.

The only shop that sells it is the official SK shop and you need to be Korean to register, so unless you know a Korean there's no way. I guess a few per year might be sold on ebay...

Why do you reask the same question after it got answered? I'm confused. SK doesn't sell to other shops, they don't even have large numbers in stock.
