edit: dammit beaten to it... pointless post now =\

edit2: What's a nice mass image downloader to use for, say, stealing all the pictures out of a 4chan thread? Sometimes the urge is just there, but the one I have now is fairly bad and limited.

Obviously i have a small bais to opera. But next time you use your phone and go wow this brower rocks chances are it's opera mini. Historally though i'm not lying Opera has nearly always done evey major innovation in the browser market including tabs yes FF fan boys i'm sorry the lies your mama told you but it was like 96' when opera made a brower with tabs. I also support opera becuase their layout is nearly fully moveable you can move just about anything anywhere. It also many customizations that a little reading or a quick google can help you understand what it is under the options command. Currently in terms of javascript speed FF is faster then Opera but in terms of acutal shit that displays the website the two are really the same. Websites a bit on a little more then just javascipt and aslong as you have a broadband connection Opera vs FF vs safari vs chrome as long as you haven't fucked it up runs about the same in human percetion. You haven't browsed the internet until you used opera.

Smart people use Opera

Business people use InternetExplorer

People that should burn on a stick use Safari becuase it came with their Mac and so they use the ugly shit grey bubbly shit cock fuck lux that is safari

Poor people who where told lies that were true maybe 4 6 years ago get fooled into using FireFox.

And people fucking sick of the stupid "Use Chome NOW" pasted all over Youtube use Chrome.

This has given my tabs pretty much everything I've ever considered seriously using.

Default for Opera just need to change up the settings in it. Opera uses tabs differnetly think of it as the opera brower is a big window and the tabs are little windows inside of it. Opera you can minize tabs etc and work with them an old way of doing things but tab management is defaulted just need to look up the options.

Funny, just not really true.

The best browser choices currently are Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome. You can't go wrong with any of these, really.

But Firefox and Opera are probably the best of the bunch. If you don't use extensions for FF, then Opera wins. But for power users, FF is better.
Opera wins most rendering tests (e.g. highest score in Acid 3) and its interface is very powerful with a lot of features, but I prefer Firefox over Opera for 2 simple reasons (the second one being just a "political" preference): 1) Firefox is incredibly powerful too when you use some add-ons. In fact, FF is the most feature-packed browser on Earth, not out-of-the-box (it loses to Opera there), but there are really incredibly good extensions which leave Opera with its respective built-in features behind in the dust. 2) FF is open source.

What principle? I'm not a coder the only principle I have is if I have to pay for it as see advertisements in some way which is not true unless you count naming the browser advertisement. Yes I'm promoting more intrest in Opera but i see this no differnetly then FF after all even though it's open scurce it runs like a business

I find any extension I would be using in FF there was already something like it in Opera (Also i rather not use extentions for FF they are a gayway for shit to happen)

I use opera because it has what I want and more importantly the layout can be manuplaied to just about any way you can think of by default if not a little help from the community and you have your answers.

I use Ubuntu, but frankly, depending on what you use your system for, its not an end-all-be-all drop-in replacement. Linux is better at some things and worse at others (e.g. if you game or use Windows-only proprietary software, Windows is going to often be the better option).

Close, but not quite right. Opera was the first browser major browser to include tabbed browsing (ignoring NetCaptor because it never made it big), but IIRC, the original Mozilla browser had a tabbing addon a few months before Opera made its release in 2000.

Ok, so you made one point thats wrong and irrelevant (which browser had tabs first doesn't say which one is better), one thing that's not Opera-exclusive (customizability and easily accessed documentation are available in Firefox too), and one statement that says they're basically the same. How does it then follow that Opera is better?

I'm not saying you have to think that way, but over-generalizing by saying that everyone that uses Firefox is poor and deceived is wrong.

Ease of use is a preference, but not an argument for which browser is better. Mac OS X is easier to use than Windows or Linux but that doesn't make it the better operating system.

Can you move your tabs and all the buttons to the bottom for Firefox easyly and then have it to the right just as easly or dissapear when it's not needed? Can you make your menu bar into a pop out menu that only takes up 1 space just to fit to word "menu" and Remove buttons you don't want and add your own? Can you get rid of the scroll bar on FF with just a click? Can you make it show the staus bar only when loading a website? Can you explictlly go though and disable ceritan types of javascipt? Can you make FF emulate it self to say its IE FF or Opera so sites that use scripts to block Opera because it's not regonized to allow it like banking sites which only allow regonised browers and versons. Can you have it so your Emails always show up on the right side of your screen? Can you make your tabs all cascade horzonially or vertially so you can veiw them all easly?

There are all functions i use daily. I'm sure with enough work you can find some back words Plug ins and some stupid edit .ini things to get it to the way i like it.

Strictly speaking, yes these are all possible in Firefox. Some of them are part of the default functionality, and some of them are addons, but they are all possible, because the code base for Firefox is entirely open.

There are technically only 2 ways in which Opera can be considered better than Firefox: speed, and ease of use. Virtually all other functionality available in Opera can be achieved if you are willing to make Firefox slower, and take the time to figure out how to configure said features through addons. How much each of these is a concern to you varies from person to person. For me, I'm a poor college student that enjoys figuring these things out and isn't too concerned with a bit of slowdown in my browser (I'm running almost all open source software, and its inevitable that almost all open source software runs slower than proprietary software, because they have to sacrifice efficiency for code readability), so I prefer Firefox. Someone else might prefer Opera, but they have their own advantages for different users.

The code is open WOW im not a coder i don't want to deal with code to get shit the way i like it. Most poeple don't want to either. Add ons are dangerious you open your brower up to alot of attacks blindly adding add-ons and messing with code.

So Opera is better for you. That doesn't mean Opera is better for everyone. Most addon functionality doesn't need to be coded from scratch, seeing as there's a large base of existing addons out there. The fact that you think that addon users have to deal with any real code just makes it seem like you know nothing about Firefox. Honestly, you make using addons sound a lot more complicated than it really is. 99% of addons that anyone will use will be positively-reviewed, and easily downloaded/installed from Mozilla's own site.

Attacks?
1) Use your brain in picking where you download your addons from and you won't get any junk. Mozilla's own addon site screens addons pretty carefully, and reviews are a good way of knowing which addons work well.
2) If something screws up Firefox, it takes about a minute tops to uninstall and reinstall.
3) This applies only to me personally, but I use Ubuntu. Who the hell codes malware for Linux?
