For those that don't understand the point system let me break it down for you like this: You do a typical bo3, you get 1 point a win, first to 2 wins just like you see so commonly in starcraft. With their system of 1, 2, and 3 points you get basically the same thing EXCEPT if someone were to sweep games 1 and 2, you'd have 3 points, the opponent wins game 3 and gets 3 points and thus the potential for a tie exists. Now, what they had in mind if a tie had occured? no idea, but that possibility was ruled out in game 2.
Secondly the snowboarding game while retarded is kinda cool in the sense that neither know shit about it, not even a "I played it once" kinda thing probably a "I've never played it" kinda thing making them start from scratch to see who would do better. Needless to say, the show was great I'm glad Mark won, ciji is a bitch, Alyson is hot, Hanna really swings that updo around stylishly, and curious to see how wcg events will pan out with this show plus the renewed support from wcg usa among other things.
edit: I've never seen even a fraction of that much excitement in a televised starcraft game, Americans are much better sensationalists what can I say :D

Really? I tried it at least 10 times, waited for about half an hour, then some random error message popped up and it would not work. Anyways, I don't really care anymore since I spoilt the results for me..

this and that i thought the finals was pretty interesting. i got to see gears of war 2 and sc4 which is a good game.
i think they should definitely have some sort of sports game in the mix because they've been lacking that.

Hopefully next season is a little better.
The racing game was Project Gotham Racing.
Rock Band was the other one in the Gauntlet episode. I loved that episode though! Gaming the whole way through with crazy handicaps.
And WRT some comments here, I'm still shocked people still think an RTS game might be played on the show. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! The game has to be casual enough for anyone to pickup , and the game has to be short.

Robert or Swoozie would have easily been the best. It's about image and how "cool" you seem to the viewers.
I'm glad that Mark won, since it was somewhat of a consolation for Jamal, my favorite gamer in the house.

btw wcg really fucked themselves here. if they had put a lil more thought into their competition and actually tried to determine the best gamer, ppl would actually give a shit about their show. if swoozie/rob had won (which they probably deserved) then that would cause all kinds of commotion about him, the competition, gaming, wcg, etc because they are real gamers! If swoozie had won, he would be the GUY TO BEAT, people would aspire to be him, want to be on the show, etc IT WOULD BE MEANINGFUL and that is how shit gets started. but now that mark has won noone gives a shit even less because obviously he is some skillless clown who really only cared about the money the entire time and somehow won because all he had to do was beat someone who (presumably) has never played soul calibur IV in his life (i think i can safely infer this from his skill) and just maintain not getting last place for the entire show
