also, its unrealistic whereas usualy sci-fi is usually based around a realistic what-if-future scenario.

Although if one of my friends dressed up as a robot I might have to re-think my ideas. you my friend, need to check robot-frank.com nothing nerdy about these robots

Sci-Fi sometimes tries to make unrealistic shit sound plausible. For example, any movie involving "hacking" erks the shit out of me. I was watching Swordfish last night, and Hugh Jackman's character is presented with a 512-bit encrypted authentication that he has to break in 60 seconds. It shows his character trying to brute force the password, "anon, anonymous, admin, administrator, pass, ..." and then he nails it. Might as well be Fantasy because it would take the age of the universe to brute force a password that way. 60 seconds, pshhhh. Mark this under that short list of shit we agree on =p I like both myself. But ZOMBIES are my favorite nerd thing. And for a good fantasy/sci fi (it's both!) movie, look no further than KRULL:

I recall the crowd in the cinema when I went to watch Chronicles of Riddick And I picture the big fans of Star Trek, Star Wars, Flash Gordon, etc as a bunch of nerds. I guess part of it is because some of those individuals have a strong interest in future technology which is highly associated with computers and robotics. People with those interest are stereotyped to me to be nerdies. Whereas, people who like medieval, fantasy, and magic are probably lovers of the arts. I picture them enjoying a good book, appreciating art works, and daydreaming. They may be weird, and some are nerdy, but I think most aren't. in sum, Sci-Fi = Likes computers, robots, technology = Nerd Fantasy = Likes to daydream, art, read = Artist fantasy = long-haired dnd players who listen to metal and can't dress properly. call them artists or fags, the facts stay the same. **RAGE DISCLAIMER**: IM KIDDING.
