Whoever wins, it'll be hard for them. The government has no money left.

Still the popular vote seems really close don't you guys think?

49% to 50%

They haven't counted California yet

and new york state is only at 1% counted (same with a lot of the eastern seaboard)

so its going to climb pretty fast by the end of the night

If only 1% was counted, how did they already decide who won the states? I'm confused now

Printing more money just decreases the value of each dollar. If they print 2x more money they will just need $2 for something that cost $1 originally.

actually it's widely believed that the republican party will shift to the right if tonight is a landslide, reason being that the more moderate republicans coincidentally occupy the seats most vulnerable to a Dem tidal wave.

Actually this could be good. If Republicans stop spending big and become fiscally responsible, that could be what saves them. So if more real conservatives remain, that could be good.

I think dems are better at being dems. So Reps should stick with being Reps.

i don't see how this is the case
specter in PA, both the maine senators, smith in oregon, coleman on minnesota (if he wins) are still pretty moderate, it's not like they're going to suddenly swap their views on everything just because dems are in power

GOP will still have moderates but that they will shift right is undeniable. look at the seats the senate GOP are going to lose for example: oregon, colorado, new mexico, virginia and possibly minnesota.

in the house it's a similar story, lot's of moderate districts being lost with none being gained, so intrinsically a shift to the right.

Sounds like that could be a dangerout thought to voice in Illinois. Or at least in Chicago.

man, im excited for Florida. In particular Miami-Dade (where i am) which is split 60% / 40% for Obama. The number of Obama bumper stickers i've been seeing is impressive. Might sound silly, but i use that as an indicator rofl. In past election, bumper stickers were mostly republican :D

Im cooler than the other side of the pillow.

wait what those are the same things

u mean not printing money but deficit spending

this may be true but eventually we're not going to be able to borrow anymore and we're going to have to print.

It's entirely possible to tie. You can get 269 for each with some really weird situations.

So then what would happen?
