Unless Obama does bad as president. Obama has everything going for him, this recession will be gone within 2 years so the final two years of his presidency should see nice economic growth. I like Obama, but he also has a perfect storm of shittyness coming together to give him this presidency and also probably the next presidency. I hope he is a good president because I really do like him, I hope he proves himself.

Lol, I have nothing I can say here because I run a "TV Free" house. I plugged it in only for the debates. So I have never seen The View or even heard of this woman. I totally, thought this was gonna be about Ann Coulter.

I disagree with everything she stands for 100% but if you agree with her issues she is a likable, good-looking (in a physical sense, which matters a lot to pretty much everyone whether they admit it or not) candidate. I would think a lot of people in the Republican party inside would be annoyed enough with her to not want to give her the nomination in 2012. Plus, she still has to run Alaska after McCain loses and that will most likely go horribly wrong. But, if Palin somehow runs against Obama in 2012 we'd most likely see a bigger landslide than this year. Unless Obama does bad as president. If McCain doesn't win, she will most likely be viewed as having dragged him down. Also, its unlikely that she changes her image a lot in the next 4 years. In 4 years look for Romney again, maybe Huckabee. But you never know. I can't even think of who will run in 4 years. Maybe McCain again???? LOL. I think the only path Palin would have to the Presidency is if McCain wins, and she runs after he leaves office having 4-8 years of experience under her belt.

If Jeb Bush had any other brother, he'd be a front runner as well.

Well, if McCain is still live, its fair to sue the term walking corpse

Maybe in 1850 he could be president, but in the 21st century with television, he has no shot whatsoever. He didn't even get the vice presidential nomination. It will be interesting to see who the Republicans nominate in 2012, either their party is going to reform a lot the next four years or they are going to go super conservative, i.e. Palin again. They are running out of options. But four years is a long time. Romney is a very straight coat kind of guy, but he does well in interviews. Also if the economy goes bad while Obama is Pres, then Romney really has a foot to stand on. He can argue that his extensive experience living in and adding to the economy helps him understand how the economy works better than Obama's "community organizer" experience. Romney ran this cycle on a social platform, when he should have run on an economic platform. I think he has a decent chance in 4 years depending on circumstances. EDIT: And maybe he should sell a few of his houses so they can't be used against him. ![]()

I mean after 8 years of Bush Republicanism, a true reform could lead back to Gingrich style conservatism. BTW, this is what I hope happens. I think the GOP has lost its way and needs a serious reform to get back on its feet. I don't think that minor changes will save it. Its gonna take a while to regain confidence on fiscal issues.

We are in a progressive society, todays values wont be the same values 50 years from now, why is being a conservative a good thing ? I Have no simpathy for the republicans, and i hope theyr party shreds to pieces in a sea of unpopularity
