The average high school student in the US may be less-educated than his European/Asian counterpart, but here the top, self-motivated students have many wonderful opportunities not available elsewhere. As for higher education, the USA certainly has a huge share of the world's top universities.

Australia has a couple good things:

- Sports Mad
- Pretty competitive on a world scale in terms of sport
- Australian cricket team > anyone
- Small population (21m) compared to the size of the country (Did you know that Japan could fit into one of the smallest states in Australia, Victoria, but they have something like 60+ million people!)
