arg didnt want to but have to:
there was never a way germany could habe defeated russia. soviets conquered berlin and they would have done the same without the other allies.
USA saved europe in that way, that the entire continent did not become soviet.

USA is great because ummm.... sorry I don't admire much about our culture that's not better other places. But, we are generally easy going people, and we contribute more to charity/aid percapita than any other nation.
Live to win.

Had the US and Britain not started another front in Italy and France, Germany could have sent more troops/supplies to the Eastern Front which may have turned the tide of the war. However, I'm not saying that the Soviets didn't carry the brunt of the effort against Germany, just that it could of been different had the US intervened militarily, and with supplies via lend-lease.

And on the Pacific front, well, Japan would have been able to force the Russians on a two front war, and I don't think China could have held the Japanese for much longer.

I think our law is quite good. Well at least better than in 90% of the countries. Moreover I like our maritime climate and that we don't have shit like hurricanes or earthquakes.

Russia is the strongest county in the world. Over a thousand years of blood filled history. We fought off the Swedes, Mongols, French, Germans. Our lands have been burned and taken, but we never ever surrendered. We have gone through a revolution and were the most powerful country in the world; and after all that went crashing down, we still fought on and now we are on the rise again and will hopefully become the number 1 country once again with America falling from power.

There was only 10% of German forces on the western front. 90% was on the eastern front. Even if all those forces were to be sent to the east, they would only delay the Soviet victory.

Taking Japan out as a possible second front against USSR was very crucial. US' impact on the war was almost exclusively in the Pacific.

their landing in the west was also crucial for would the western allies not have taken west germany the sovietunion would have.. and with all its heavy industries the rest of europe with a fingersnap. it would also have been the soviets who would have gotten all the german tech.

the chicks, the danish ironic humor™, the fact that even though we pay 40% in taxes (used to be more), we are fucking rich when we travel to other countries!

Oh and how could I forget:

That we're a welfare state meaning, free education (even though it isnt as good as before but thats another thread ), free healthcare etc. Its all good!

Many things suck in the U.S., but we have the strongest free speech rights in the world and our economy in a "recession" still drives the civilized world. It's good to be the king.

You shouldn't believe everything puttykins tells you. Your military and economic infrastructure is haphazard. The only thing keep your economy afloat is your oil exports. You will never compare economically or in population to the US, China or India as the majority of your country is an arctic tundra. Btw your ancestors were occupied for 100 some years by the mongols.

I don't think there was ever a point in BW history where this was even close to true. Americans would have been lucky to even been top 3 in BW at any time.

I dunno... I think we're top 3 now, and when Assem/Froz were in their primes, I'd say USA was top 3 at least then too...

Well I think top 3 are definitely the U.S, Germany, and Poland right? Not sure if we'd be the best out of the 3 though, it's close.

Erm, you have a spot in the top 3 now, MAYBE. Tho I think Mondi, Iefnaij, Draco, Brat, Dreiven, Paranoid are top atm. Nony is good, I like him too, but other than that I can't think of any that could stand in front of these players.

And when Assem/Froz were in their primes, there were other good players as well. Like Elky, Nazgul, Grrrr, etc.

Never was a time as far as I can think of that USA dominated outside-kor-bw-scene.
Im not a n00b, I just play like one.

We know how to work. We get things done. Germans don't even believe that them selfs, but once you've been abroad you notice the difference. We build the best cars, the best roads, the best houses, the best machinery, we brew the best beer. The whole world acknowledges the quality of everything Made in Germany. Germans earned and still earn their reputation.

We will win the Euro 2008.

God I love so much about this country it's only surpassed by how much I hate this country.

I loved the Euro 2008 comment. I'm proud of my Mannschaft!!

I think that all alone Germany would have definitely beaten Russia.

There was a lot of back and forth between Germany and Russia with battles going either way. From Starcraft you should know that 10% extra troops and resources can mean the difference between slaughter on one side vs slaughter on the other side. It can also mean more troops to harass supply lines and to force the opponent to spread out to protect them. In real life, people have to protect their supply lines, resources like food, ammo, aren't magically transported to the front.

Having even a few extra divisions at the right times turns the tide of battles.

Without Britain in the way, Germany would have had the middle east and opened up a second front against the USSR while also drastically increasing its supplies.

Although it wasn't charity to help with WWII, we could have had a peace deal if we had wanted it. I'm sure of that. Britain probably could have as well. But it was in our long-term best interests to help, and you may not realize that our president was intentionally pissing Japan off with an Oil embargo in order to help China, that ended up helping to force Japan to expand.

If you look on Wikipedia, what you might find surprising is that the USA fielded as many troops in the war as Germany. All the countries in the British Commonwealth combined fielded almost as many.

The German forces and strategies were very effective. Russian strategies got a lot of Russians killed, and so I hope you aren't looking at troop counts to decide that a Russian victory was inevitable. If I recall correctly, Stalin liked to purge generals every now and then.

In the new mobile warfare, even though Russia had more troops Germany was perhaps better able to get them where they needed to be and have local troop number advantages.
