Does anyone know any? I don't mean the gigantic "B minor" etc etc that is 10 ~ 20 minutes long.

Just something peaceful to listen to thats only like 3 or 4 minutes long like a normal song. Something like this
http://bakanbonko.imeem.com/music/dvKRImbT/secret_garden_fairy_tale/

I donno. It's exam time and these types of music actually help me study soooooooo.....

Suggestions?

The kind of song youre looking for isn't so much 'classical' as it is 'easy listening'

Also, you could try some of Yanni's stuff.

If it's a "bit different," then it's not classical music, as in baroque or romantic. What is it then?

any contemporary artist using a classical instrument would probably be to your liking, there are tons of those kinds of people out there who play the piano and have a nice relaxing feel to it..

Alex Grant is a good example of this, google him!

I'm thinking of things like JS Bach's suites for harpsichord, violin, and cello. Each movement is about the length of a typical song. For instance, you might try JS Bach's French Suite in B minor, or Cello Suite 1, in G. I also really like the Goldberg Variations, by Bach, for harpsichord. Lots of tiny variations on a single theme.

The Vitali Chaconne and Bach Chaconne are both very good pieces.
Or if you want something by piano, search for Yiruma. Well known.

The op is obviously looking for classical pieces, not lieder.

If you are looking for lieder, I recommend Mahler.

If you want actual " classical" not just easy listening, I'd try stuff longer than 3 minutes.

4 seasons is good, Dvorak Cello concerto, Mendelsson violin concerto etc. All of Mozart's late piano concertos are brilliant.

For symphonies, Mahler 4, Brahms 4, Ralph Vaughan Williams 3, Mozart/ Haydn all are good bets.

As someone earlier mentioned, Bach suites would be good and I'd also try Beethoven piano sonatas. Any chamber music by Brahms is quite good as well.

Or you could just be hardcore and listen to the rite of spring :p

Songs are pieces that are sung.

I recommend J.S.Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Mahler, Scriabin, Sorabji, Penderecki.

Classical music if often longer than 12 minutes. I think that 18 to 24 minutes is the best length for a piece of music.

Should be pretty obvious I was responding to the guy I quoted. The OP isn't asking for classical music anyway, just easy listening.

When studying I often simply listen to the well-tempered clavier. It consists of 2 x 24 preludes and fugues, mostly within the length you specified of 3-4 minutes. Somehow that kind of music really helps me as it is clearly structured and not meant to create too much tension - it just flows perfectly, without effort.
