Taco Bell and Burger King are the only fast food around me with dollar menus and thus are the only worthwhile fast food places

Completely uneducated about 2024, but Mark Kelly would be exciting. Regardless of his policies, I'm pretty sure that the majority views an astronaut/former astronaut favourably.

Truly enjoying the cultured discussion.

Its all imaginary, but its nice. There's a chance PR gets statehood, even with a GOP senate (especially a 51-49 senate). Would probably be part of some very unpalatable compromise though.
DC, no way, though.

Honestly it might be Trump 2024 if he doesn't get convicted of a felony. Can you run for president if you're a convict? I know you can't vote. Otherwise I expect more of the same idiocy. We joke about Kanye as a punchline but many people also felt the same way about Trump for a very long time.

You can run for president WHILE in prison. Eugene V Debs did it (famous socialist in early 1900s). I think he got 5 or 6% of the vote?

Harris is basically the consensus pick on paper, but she was a paper tiger as a campaigner.
Both parties have very few members on their bench. The 2016 GOP field should all have retired in shame after losing to Trump. Rubio is the Harris equivalent, and Cruz, who came in second, is so hated by everyone who has worked with him, ever, that he made Trump look appealing.
I don't think Cheney can win the primary as a gay woman. I can't think of as many "young" Democratic leadership off the top of my head. There's Harris, Buttigieg and Booker maybe? If Rep Lamb and Sen Kelly get some national profile then maybe those two can be promising. But the lack of a visible future for the Democrats in the DNC this year has me concerned about the party. There was no promising Obama-esque figure that emerged, and all their elder statesmen in the vein of Kerry or Biden are way too old. Also, Liz Cheney isn't a lesbian, that's her sister Mary. I have no idea why I assumed Cheney was an only child. Regardless, she has one huge fucking albatross around her neck: Dick Cheney, her father. He's (probably correctly) assumed to be behind many of the absolute most unpopular and controversial actions of the Bush admin. He's possibly the one figure whose image couldn't even be rehabilitated when compared with Trump. Trump may have frequently publicly mused about torturing people and suggested war crimes, Cheney actually masterminded making those things real policies.
Now, that may be an advantage in the primary with a fair amount of the GOP base but I assume not even the GOP will nominate someone they know will lose the general election.
If were pressed to choose between Dick Cheney and Trump, I'd just jump out a window.

Apparently Georgia just had a huge +8k dump and now Biden is only down 38k with 96% reporting. Will there be enough votes left to count?
politico has 98% reporting and trump with a 40k lead. if my math checks out that’s estimating 90k votes to be counted where biden would need to come in better than 2:1 to win.

Whataburger is the Texas chain that people compare with innout. It's actually really good, massive burgers, really good selection. I've had it a couple times when I was in Houston for in-person learning. Highly recommend, but that being said, I'm a biased Cali boy so I like innout better.
.. never heard of innout either lol.
I'm from the UK bud, only recently we got our first taco bell over here (half a year ago). Fun fact, the rat burger in demolition man (the movie i was quoting) allegedly was from whataburger.
Best burger over here i've had so far (and i'm not so mad on burgers, love one every now and then but that's it) is from Harvester. Probably not even remotely comparable to what you get in the US.
The one thing i'd really like to try is a philly cheese steak sandwich, and the one that you dip in gravy, french dip or something?

PA analysis: Clinton won Philly by 480k votes. Biden currently leads by 340k. If Biden is predicted to continue his outstanding city/suburb turnout, he is expected +20/30k over what Clinton got in 2016. This means that Biden still has about 160k votes left in Philly, which has not moved. If Biden can enter into that range before Philly even gets any votes in, he might be pushing 3/4 point win instead.

There is Rumsfeld also.
Errol Morris' documentary about him is terrifying. (Errol Morris is always good way to get informed about politicians of the Usa.)
