Still, it's worth considering whether existing restrictions continue to bear down lifestyle changes in people that makes us more susceptible to COVID and other illness or health risks (eg mental health).

Why do you have any confidence that people are going to listen to an esoteric concept of lifestyle changes as a result of societal change on disease susceptibility and taking mental health seriously? At this point, any additional recommendations are probably going to only be taken seriously by people who are already taking their health seriously. The people who are vaccinated might listen, but I imagine that the anti-vaxxers / anti-maskers are going to believe that scientists are secretly putting vaccines (or covid) in vitamin D supplements.

My wife's aunt is a big cross fit person and ahs been on the whole don't put something "unnatural" into her body kick. We go to her Mothers 90th and this Aunts face is all swollen and odd looking from lip filler and botox! ROLF, will inject her face with poison, but won't take a vaccine. Crazy people! They should have just told people it would make them look younger or lose weight and people would have been faking their identities to get more! That sort of hypocrisy is always particularly disappointing to me. I know people who smoke or eat unhealthy food all the time, but their argument for not getting vaccinated is that they don't want to put potentially harmful things in their body. They should at least come up with a different argument for not getting vaccinated.

Oh wow. "Public Health Scotland will stop publishing data on covid deaths and hospitalisations by vaccination status - over concerns it is misrepresented by anti-vaxx campaigners." This is insane actually.

Stupid. They could work around the problem, and publish deaths/hospitalizations by vaccination status per capita. If they publish the vaccination numbers, and total counts, you can work backwards to get the regular numbers. If you're smart enough to get the regular numbers you'll understand the per capita numbers, and that takes away ammunition from anti-vax idiots who look at the numbers directly?

My direct boss is currently off the guts of a month now with… myocarditis after not getting vaccinated. Hope he gets well soon but it’s really fucking me over currently. The business’ wise decision to dispense of dedicated HR in lieu of making everything the purview of line managers does not work particularly well when your line manager is otherwise indisposed.

Some do the conspiracies others ignore the parts of information they do not like to try to create a reason. Its very strange but it seems to happen often, this one is just super clear and obvious. The Guardian ran a pretty decent article a few days ago listing numerous reasons why people are hesitant to take it, it's worth a read. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/feb/15/this-is-why-some-people-dont-want-to-get-the-covid-vaccine

The article does not dispute that. Yeah, that article certainly lists plenty of reasons, but they're not necessarily good ones lol. That list helps us understand what anti-vaxxers think, which is definitely helpful, but it's not like those arguments are particularly impenetrable.
