Side note, but I can't wait until the scumball independent running against Warren gets crushed.
Besides misrepresenting himself & claiming to support free speech while using libel suits to silence critics his advertisements are beyond horrible. He somehow has managed to make a singular ad criticizing Warren for her claims about Native American ancestors *and* belittle Native Americans by referring to them as indians (and in a context where he's grouping them with actual indian ancestry) which is an amazing feat of horribleness.

Yeah it's so infuriating. I don't understand how you can simultaneously say you promote free speech and claim to have invented email because you have a copyright for a system called email that you made after email already existed. Like if you don't fundamentally understand copyright (or willfully misrepresent it) how do you have any understanding of free speech?
I wish MIT would just like call him out instead of letting their alumni run around giving them a bad name.

Wow, so Pocahontas thinks she can insult our intelligence by claiming 1/152 Native American ancestry somehow qualifies as being distinctly Native. As someone with 1/16 Metis ancestry (the minimum amount to qualify in Canada) and a treaty card to prove it, I find this simply laughable. By her logic, everyone in this thread could register as being Native American. Also, how suspicious that she only reveals her DNA test now in light of a presidential run.
EDIT: because of a math error, it turns it she's actually 1/1,024 Native American. What an absolute joke of a vindication: https://twitter.com/esaagar/status/1051840505074593792?s=21

It's 1/32, not 1/152. Where did you read 152?

congrats on your Métis heritage. i have no native american ancestry, so no, i couldn’t claim it. not that i would, because who cares? let us all pray she does not enter the primary.

If anything, Trump and the Right are insulting you by acting like this matters in any way.

BETWEEN 1/32 and 1/152, nothing definitive. I bet you Trump could take a DNA test and achieve similar results if we're accepting such an absurdly large margin as being credible.

She's been insisting for ages (without evidence) that she has Cherokee ancestors (even though she cannot name any) flaunting her presumed minority status to gain points within the Dem party. She's a fraud. One of the funniest rebukes I've seen in ages is when an actual descendant of Pochahontas defended Trump.

Wait I'm confused, she now has the evidence that you take issue with her not having and it's not enough?
I'm **shocked** that your argument isn't actually an issue with what she's said & done, but rather taking issue with Warren and using the claim to perpetually attack her.

she has evidence now, so that would be obviously a lie. where does she flaunt her minority status? and nobody but you gives a shit. 🤷🏻♂️

Well, i am 1/4 Count (two different grandfathers holding the tittle) and 1/4 Russian (also two different grandparents) and judging by the fact that i live in Poland probably also have Mongol blood. Does it matter or mean anything? Not really. You Americans are crazy with this heritage search thing.

I dare you to take your own DNA test and have the gall to apply for a treaty card should your results come back equally as ambiguous as Warren's.

Not entirely sure what the point is in the first place.
Does she get some form of rubber points for having certain ancestors? Could someone point out why people shriek or screech about it?

I wonder why Warren checked that box in the first place? Could it be she thought she might be treated better if Harvard thought she was a minority instead of white?

Scott Brown brought it up during his failed re-election campaign because his team found a small referenced to it on her professor’s page at Harvard. She is white as the driven snow. So people argue, in bad faith, that she checked it off to get preferable treatment at Harvard or be treated as a minority. Because the people making that argument think that being a minority gives you special privileges, or something. It is also an attack that is really hard to disprove or counter, because no one is really specific as to why it is a big deal, only that she is lying and bad because of it.
It is like Birtherism. It is just bullshit the right peddles because it keeps their opponents on the back foot, because it has no basis in reality.

If she's white as driven snow, then she ought to swallow her lumps and admit to it, rather than insulting our intelligence by claiming 1/1,024 ancestry actually qualifies as being Native American to any remotely significant degree. Maybe in the twilight zone it does, but not in reality!
