Nor do I see it as a complex distinction between said state having it coming and Joe and Jane American not deserving their fates.

Sure, it's also not surprising that Iran is getting some blowback after also incessantly (and incompetently) meddling in the affairs of others but you won't find a serious person saying they deserved getting an elementary school double tapped. You would however easily find some attention-seeking cringelord Twitter Nazis saying that. And from the little I've had the displeasure of being subjected to Hasan's incoherent opinions, he is their tankie equivalent and intellectual equal.

I have the exact same opinion about Iran. Evil regime that does evil stuff and should expect consequences, but the school kids blown up by the United States were innocent and that was a war crime.

The issue here isn't that the civilian victims of those Islamists somehow "had it coming," it's that the whole thing was entirely preventable and it's going to keep happening until the government stops repeating the same error.

What is meant to be controversial here? Both the US and USSR did the same. Are you agreeing with me?

Hows the whole thing preventable? By giving up the entire middle east to USSR?
The US intervened in Korean war and Vietnam war, should they have just let USSR side taken over Korea and Vietnam and thus pretty much majority of Asia then?

Why shouldn't it be USSR that give up Korea and Vietnam and middle east then?

Maybe they should have you as their strategist. We'd having a world orgy by now.

Haha, we are doing collective guilt now buddy?

Since I'm 18 I voted in every election and never voted for any of these people.

There are posts in my post history (feel free to search for it) calling HDZ (the party in power / Tuđman party) criminal organization and laying out the whole history of their existence and corruption, there are also posts calling Thompson a nazi fuck and shitting all over him.

I got beaten up for shitting on Ustaše and Thompson and Tuđman in high-school and I can still remember 1999 when people were crying on TV and me and my mom were laughing at them for being sad over the death of a war criminal and a corrupt piece of shit in Tuđman.

I'd say good try but I'd be lying, you did make me chuckle so kudos for that one old timer!

Dude you talking about collective guilt, when what you wrote is that since you are not from US, you are not fascist? I simply pointed out that being Croatian makes you more likely to be a fascist than if you were US citizen.

Why do you believe that Croatians, rather than US citizens, are more likely to be fascist?

Why dont ask Jankisa this question? he was the one who implied that nationality is deciding factor.

Even if that were the case, Jankisa is evidently not a Fascist unless all their posting is entirely non-reflective of their views

A staggeringly stupid tangent

I understand it might be a bit hard for you to understand, but my point of calling people (like you) fascist for supporting fascist policies has nothing to do with the ability to vote for them.

Your ability to vote for fascists (I'm sure you are itching to cast your vote for Restore Britain) is a bonus when it comes to calling you a fascist, but it's not a requirement.

"I understand it might be a bit hard for you to understand, but my point of calling people (like you) fascist for supporting fascist policies has nothing to do with the ability to vote for them." - Except thats not what I contested, but hey, I understand it might be a bit hard for you to understand.

Bolded - you know how cool it is to have opinion about something you have clue about? You should try it some day.

I have been reading your occasional fascistic screeching enough to know that you are absolutely the type of person who was waiting for a real, proper fascist to come along so you can cast your vote for them.

After all, you are the brilliant mind behind "anyone advocating for taxing wealth should be killed".

Also, love the 3rd grade "I am rubber you are glue" debate energy, really shows off your maturity!

Bolded - are you, like, taking pleasure in displaying your ignorance?

Italic - not exactly what I said. I also stand by for what I actually said there.

As for 3rd grade debate energy: Are you going to admit that I am right, and saying that: "Considering that I don't live or vote in the US, I think I'm pretty safe from being a serious propagator of fascism." was plain stupid? Or are you going to keep calling people fascists?

You seem pretty bad at understanding context, so let me try to help you:

Jankisa, myself, and LightSpectra laying the foundations, facilitating, and propagating fascism ...
Which Jankisa and LightSpectra would 100% agree with you if you would just remove their names and leave mine!

Considering that I don't live or vote in the US, I think I'm pretty safe from being a serious propagator of fascism.

Given that you aren't even able to say that you'd vote against republicans in a key Senate state that might help push it back, plus, you know, your propensity to justify murder of kids, support for genocide, wars of aggression etc., I'd say you score like 8/10 on the "fascist enabler" scale.

This is the context of that sentence.

Considering that in the year of 2026, in the context of voting (or saying that you'd vote) for people who might help stop Trump's movement when elected to the Senate, I am pretty safe as being a propagator of fascism.

I don't understand what other point you are trying to argue, are you not currently living in UK? From what I remember you are an immigrant who hates other immigrants, or did I get that wrong?

That plus your general "kill socialists" attitude would make me believe you are a fascist who would love to be represented by actual fascists. Apologies if I got some of that wrong.

Dude what are you doing? There is no context. This are two closed paragraphs. First refers to you where for some reason you seem to believe that not voting or living in US makes you "think I'm pretty safe from being a serious propagator of fascism." Second refers to dhyb only and doesnt mention anything about whether living or voting in the US have anything to do with it.

This however hardly surprise from someone who wrote both:

I think I'm pretty safe from being a serious propagator of fascism.
I am pretty safe as being a propagator of fascism.

Latter essentially means that you feel comfortable spreading your favourite ideology.

The context is that this is a US political thread, and they were talking about the rise of fascism in the US. Responding to a guy who constantly acts as though people outside of the US are supporting fascism by doing nothing, while he’s in the US actually supporting the system by paying taxes, supporting the fascist and capitalist economy, and even working against those in the US actually doing things to combat it.

You succeeded in your gotcha, what he said wasn’t correct if you simply read it alone. But given where we are typing, how small the community is, the amount of posts he’s made. It is clear that he knows fascism is not a US only problem and that his own country has a problem with it. So you gotten, just in a completely meaningless way.

Excellent point. Who knows what could have happened if the US had allowed the South Vietnamese government to fall.

The US clearly did the right thing by working with Ho Chi Minh to create a Vietnamese national movement during the Japanese occupation to throw out the Japanese occupiers only to subsequently backtrack and reinstall the French colonial government. And then when the French were thrown out the US made another winning move by choosing to play the hand the French had just folded. Certainly no reaping what you sow there.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all that, Vietnam, yes 100%. USSR side did win and all of domino theory never happened.

Koreans on the other hand are happy with the intervention and Im sure those in the North wish it had continued the war or more had intervened.

These is no clear answer on intervening, even with the best intentions it has worked out pretty poorly for the last 40 years. But this is why what the US is doing now in Iran is so painfully stupid. They had all the information, one of the most studied and simulated potential conflicts in the world, they ignored it and did everything wrong and now continue to make it worse by doing progressively stupider stuff, well simultaneously lying to the public so blatantly that looks worse and worse by the day.

The next US president is going to be in such a horrible position.

We should stop war, spread peace and love and fight climate change and stop world hunger. Stop racism, sexism. Every nation should stop building bombs and throw away their weapons. Free open borders. Unlimited social care system for everyone. Green energy only.

I still have no idea what "US deserves 9/11 and Iran deserves school full of its children blowing up, it's just the innocents themselves didn't deserve to die" is supposed to mean, if anything. And I'm clearly not going to find out from someone who posts an article about a nuclear power deal as evidence of a nuclear weapons program. I think when you said "Hasan is correct" what you meant was something broadly to the effect of casting the spell "Wingardium Leftism" and didn't think about the actual words, and now that it's deep in the past (earlier today) you don't have any obligation to hold yourself to it. My simple opinion is nobody deserves war crimes. I don't have to contort my way around in a stupid game of Twister because someone else landed on that anti war crimes circle already and they're icky.

I agree with "nobody deserves war crimes," but when we take that a step further to "what can we do to prevent war crimes? Maybe don't elect somebody that has advocated doing war crimes and pardon war criminals?" and suddenly I hate America or something.

Oblade is for the US committing war crimes when run by republicans but against war crimes against the US or by the US when run by Democrats.

You don’t ever need to talk to him to know his position. Just look at the most recent thing the Rs say and Ds say and do. He’s for all the R, that’s good and against what the Ds say and do because that’s bad.

Found it, oh, boy, so you just confirmed what I said initially. you base your resistance to fascism on Israel and McCharty style "he is associated with a communist" testing.

Thank you, sorry I didn't notice it before but you do write a lot of very uninteresting, repetitive and angsty stuff that I skip unless you address it directly at me.

Anyway, thank you for confirming what I said 5 days ago, appreciate it!

As BB already explained to you, the context is the thread and conversation that you latched on with irrelevant things.

I also like how you gave up on trying to deny the other part.
So, are you a pessimist? - On my better days. Are you a nihilist? - Not as much as I should be.

That's the "vote blue no matter who" dogma that ultimately promotes bad candidates and relies on each succeeding election being the most important one in your entire lifetime. I want candidates to earn my vote. It isn't owed, and I won't be browbeaten by the typical "I'm going to call you a fascist if you don't" framework.

Such a framework isn't surprising coming from somebody that repeatedly and intentionally distorts the views of people he disagrees with. It just isn't a serious approach, and I really doubt you're serious about the fascism bit either.

Who is claiming that the United States is singularly responsible for that? Brother, all of the dystopian things the US has done to other countries they learned from watching the British and French.

I didn't say the US is solely responsible. I am saying most if not all powerful nations are meddling in global geopolitical affairs including the middle east.

The idea that meddling in other affairs imply they deserve terrorism attack, is out of touch.
And the US is always involved whether they take or do not take any action, that's the nature of being a super power.

Speaking of terrorist sympathisers the IRA got a fuckload of money from patriotic Irish Americans and private citizens to boot

but if a nation's government goes around doing the same thing on a mass scale, like when the United States delivered weapons to Islamists to fight the USSR, it's apparently "sympathizing with terrorists" to say they (the government) is at fault for that.

Or just Ukraine.

The issue couldn't have MORE topical repercussions. It couldn't be more contemporary.

Eye-opening confession at any rate. I wonder if far leftists like Hasan consider what future incidents the US is opening itself to "deserving" by meddling in Eastern Europe.

As you note it is very topical. Russians are constantly asking what they could have done to deserve Ukrainian drone strikes on their infrastructure. Conservatives and self victimization is a classic combo for a reason.
