Ahh, meritocracy is working at last. Not only does Trump deserve it, he also sure as hell worked for it. I honestly don't give a shit if nothing happens, it's just such an enjoyable notion that something's just not going his way for once.

I'm not going to say that getting covid was a good thing for Biden but its somehow corresponding with his presidency turning around hard. Maybe having less people around is good for someone his age.

I also kind of love how triggered conservatives have become with Democrats flipping the script on "Brandon"; Dems are now creating viral memes about "Dark Brandon", the alpha/sigma male who don't take no malarkey from anyone.

Raiding the home/facility/compound of a former US president must take the most enormous mountain of evidence. It is hard to imagine this being anything less than major.

I think other recent "wins" that were cited included killing an Al Qaeda leader, *not* needing the same emergency hospital trip via helicopter that Trump needed when he got covid, and gas prices consistently dropping (since Biden had been blamed for higher gas prices by Fox News and Republicans, regardless of how much direct effect he actually has).

I think the PACT Act, care and compensation for veterans who were exposed to burn pits, can be added, also because the GOP made a fool out themselves by blocking it out of spite in the senate.
I don't have any hopes of Trump ever being held accountable. But i keep my fingers crossed.

That being said I hope hes held accounbtable for the many laws hes broken, but that seems unlikely. Any lawsuit against Trump is going to take forever and won't be resolved before 2024.

For Trump? I guess, not awkward at all. He would use it for mobilizing his base, a living proof that "the Swamp" is there to take him out. Look at the Republican outrage at the FBI search, one would think he is a King of US, not former president.

The more interesting question is what happens if your found guilty of something that would disqualify you from holding office, while your the President. Do you get removed and the Vice-President gets to finish out the term?

Can someone kindly help me figure out how to request a thread about "free will" to be unlocked?
Or is asking for a thread to be unlocked considered a "no no" and I just committed a social faux pas. 🤦♂️
Skimming that thread about free will has me begging to share my thoughts somewhere relevantly about superdeterminism:
