And for all the times this has happened, Republicans either learned nothing or don't care. A friend of mine has family working in an office with a Trumper anti-masking asshole, who purposely went around coughing on everyone in their building. Turned out his stupid ass was positive for COVID. Now they're all exposed. If it wasn't in vogue for Republicans to be weaponizing a pandemic this shit wouldn't happen.

Cue the cringeworthy "it's just a theory" response from the anti-science community.

If someone gets sick, can they sue him for damages? Because he clearly and intentionally tried to infect them, or at least willfully accepted that possibility.

I think someone in NJ got charged with terrorism for doing this, I’m pretty sure it’s not legal. Best case scenario it has to count towards a battery charge right?

Assault is the one your looking for I think. Battery is physically attacking someone.
But yes it should be atleast an Assault charge, if not more.

Looks like at least Hawley will join the Mo Brooks crew in contesting the electoral count on January 6, so expect that day to be quite the shit show.

Each states result must individually be objected to and both House and Senate must separately agree by majority vote to not count the objected votes.
There is no vote to certify. The elector votes are counted up and if there is a majority that its it, done deal.

This is theatrics and time-wasting with no chance of getting anywhere. Personally I would charge em with treason and throw the book at them but hey, we live in an imperfect world.

Yeah this is almost certainly pure theatrics, which makes me wonder whether Hawley is doing it to get back at Mitch for killing the stimulus increase that Hawley was in favor of.

Democrat resistance to repealing 230 is super frustrating. So incredibly stupid. It’s a totally worthwhile bargain
