This one was a bit strange, as there was a message before the blast, asking people to stay away.
This feels more like an assassination or intentional destruction of some specific piece of property. The whole thing is very strange. No real intention is clear. I think the whole thing is so confusing that no one really has anything to say about it.

It's neither a far right terrorist, nor an assassination.
It was apparently a suicide bombing, so intentional destruction, or "going out with a bang" (no pun intended) most likely was the reason. The fact that he announced the bomb so police can evacuate people points to that too.
He blew up in front of an AT&T facility, if half of what i hear about them is true, that's probably what he wanted to "take with him". Could be coincidence though.

We probably will never really know and it'll probably be conspiracy theory bait for a while. He did it to knock out local communications infrastructure in a way that makes one think. He announced the bomb but the timer that was announced was not correct and the bomb went off well before it was said to. He also might have fired off a gun repeatedly before hand in order to make people make a shots fired call but this is weird because again the evacuation of people from the cops would have happened as well so who knows.
Havn't seen shit from Trump about it though.

Politically motivated terrorist tend to go out of their way to make the purpose of their action known, so I agree it might not be that this time. At least, they pick a target which leaves no doubt who they are after...

I kinda hope it was someone faking their own death.
|
My hope is that it's a Die Hard 3 style heist gambit that went south a bit and harmed some people but was designed to hit that infrastructure. None of the information around it squares with terrorism really.

Looks like we're at least getting the $600 checks, lol. What a disaster. $1800 of aid for about 9 months.

I as well would have preferred more free money, but alas. At least this bill goes through as it was written, warts and all.

My company used the pandemic as the first available excuse to preserve their bottom line and kick my entry-level ass to the curb. My savings evaporated paying several months rent as I apply to jobs all week to no avail. I'm not celebrating $600. This isn't some windfall for me. It makes January's rent sting a little less. But yeah, free money and all that.

House has voted to override Trump’s veto and provide 2k checks. Tomorrow will be an interesting day in the senate, as Bernie has said he intends to filibuster until 2k is voted on.
