Request: This thread is temporarily allowed to have sources posted without some big long intro and conclusion. This is moving really fast and I think there is value in allowing people to post sources without much else.

That was what I asked. I didn't need the intro. We are all probably getting different sources, so it would be nice to cross-reference and whatnot as it comes in.

The Planes in the air are theoretically safer then them being on the ground at the base. Presumably, they've just been scrambled to defend against a possible attack by other aircraft.
