And also to give permission to SA to chop up journalists. There's a pretty compelling hypothesis out there that Kush told MBS to go for it, Turkey intercepted the message, and essentially blackmailed Trump into a Syria withdrawal. I don't believe the blackmail business without more direct evidence, but I do believe the WH knew about what was happening and implicitly condoned it (maybe explicitly).

It would be funny levels of incompetence if he wasn’t in with a shot, or it was an isolated gaffe. His actual politics aside, and I don’t hold it against candidates generally but I think Biden himself is too old for the gig. Whether it’s a physical decline or just lacking motivation he just seems drained, going through the motions and lacking a real feel of energy that you’d get from Bernie who is older. I don’t get a feeling of ‘Why run?’ from Biden, more a ‘why not?’ and I think that’s reflected in his performance thus far.

Trump will eat him alive. In a faceoff between two senile old men, the shouty pathological liar is a hands-down favourite over the guy who needs to energise a base but is already mailing it in. He needs to be given as many opportunities as possible to gaffe his way out of the nomination or we are all screwed.

Doesn't make Nettles intervention any less ludicrous. Guy really needs to get a grip.

One person is irrelevant, and only through rampant desperation on the part of Republicans is he even part of political discourse. The other person is the one allegedly leading the country. It highlights the amount of naked partisanship required to overlook something so significant, only to zero in on something that doesn't matter at all whatsoever. Because Biden.

I feel that much more democrats (including some sitting in congress) are critical of US policy toward Israel? I mean we re still quite far from widespread critical positions on the colonization process, but I has the feeling we were slowly moving in this direction, at least among democrats.

Not sure what I'd be measuring. I certainly think Democrats are more critical of Trump doing the same shitty foreign policy things Obama was though.

Whereas trump is just tweeting it out or having some back alley meetings take place.
