Was also thinking how much it must have sucked for the first human who discovered the ocean, probably dying of thirst after walking for weeks through the deserts of Africa, seeing more water than he'd ever thought possible and running into it and frantically shoveling handfuls of the stuff into his mouth before realizing that something's not quite right with it, lol. There is gravity in the middle of the earth of course, if you made a tunnel that went down the middle of the earth, and dropped a ball into it, it would oscillate until it stops in the center in an ideal universe situation (the ball goes straight down does not hit walls etc.). | ||
