Random weed related fact of the day:A British 1p coin weighs exactly an eighth and a 2p coin weighs exactly a quarter. Kinda useful if you have no scales and want to weigh a bit out. | ||

So you really got to ask yourself is even the small, but easily ignorable chance, of being caught with a large, fresh and well measured bag worth saving 40 dollars on an ounce, or even to sell and break even on your weed consumption? I've bought as large as 2 ounces, bought a share in a quarter pound and ordered weed through a budmail service, and when I reflect, I don't regret taking the risk of quantity. I'd smoke weed with any of my friends if they wanted to get high, and they'd sometimes hit me back in booze or occasionally food, but I'd never straight sell weed to anyone. I'd buy a large amount with a group of friends, to quickly split up, but never reap profit from them. I was never worried about being caught as I've done plenty of "respectable" things with my life (from society's perspective) and my family does okay. The solution to saving money on weed is to smoke less weed; not to profit from your connections (deal.) Even half an ounce will give you a very good deal from a decent dealer, and by trying to take a cut off your good deal, even on only your less connected friends or casual smoking friends, the popo will fuck with you if they notice. These people, regardless of being your friends, are giving you cash for drugs, and if the cops hear about that after finding you with a bag off a miracle, you're boned. They are cops, they try and fuck you. They are payed to fuck with you because society still generally disapproves of weed. Gotta have a promising career, well off parents, or perhaps appeal to some idiotic liberal psychology unless you're gonna get nailed for dealing. This is, of course, from the perspect of where I live. People here are poor for Canadians and tolerate non-violent crime, such as welfare fraud, tax evasion and the selling of marijuana. They are tolerant about marijuana as its very easy for people with large family acreages (poor Nova Scotians) in the boonies to grow weed and make untaxable money. In Halifax, where my friend was busted, the city is flooded with students. Nova Scotia is one of the few places in Canada where the very left NDP can win elections, and Halifax is the home of a large body of NDP voters. The cops here still try to uphold unpopular marijuana laws, but the government supports them while society casually lets the 'criminal' bourgeoisie go back to his life, as long as he swears and pleads not to sell anymore. I imagine in less socialist provinces, states and countries the cops must be more potent, with the much stronger support from elected government and society. What makes the small but serious risk of being caught, even when only dealing (for, you are dealing) to your friends? Maybe I'm just not seeing things as you guys do, weed is a big part of my life, but still not important enough to take any risk of a felony. | ||
