Look at it this way: you can make less kids have sex by making it HARDER for them to get protection. <- lol Chibi... I seriously want to ignore you as your last thread (about pedophilia, again) was closed in about 10 mins, but I'll reply. Protection is NOT hard to get. It costs very little and any high school student should be able to afford it, or at least ask friends for the money. I don't know how much condoms cost exactly, but I would imagine around a few bucks. Again, correct me if I'm wrong. If they need protection, they can get it. My question is, why does the school have to help the teenagers (in general), who are always arguing for their "independence", while advertising the fact that they want to support teenagers having sex at that age, which is frowned upon by society (no Chibi, pedophilia is frowned upon by society too). They realize it will still go on, but in my opinion they don't have to promote sex, safe or not.

But I think that's a pretty safe assumption. This is true. So why not make it easier to be safe? I'm sure you know how lazy people are from the countless examples provided of how people at school get pregnant. If they knew the risks involved, and had a condom on hand, they'd use it. This, I assume, almost safely. So by my logic, the ones who got pregnant did not use a condom, even though they knew the risks. Taking another step, I think this comes from not having one on them because they didn't go out of their way to get one. My solution to this would be to provide an easier means to acquire a condom. Maybe they could be attatched to a flyer or something about abstinence and safe sex - that way, the image wouldn't be promoting sex. Does this solve the promotion problem?

I'm just against school promoting sex (before marriage). Your idea obviously will still have people just picking up the flyers for the condoms and screwing around with them, but that's an inevitable thing. Something like that is worth trying, in my opinion. Simply put, I don't like the idea of a school having a basket of condoms out in the foyer letting anyone pick them up, or in the main office, where they still have to ask for one, which (I think) is more embarrassing than actually buying it from a part-time worker at your nearest convenience store. Especially since there's a good chance somebody might see you and the news can spread. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle. Just buy it and no one will ever know. Simple, clean, done. To answer your question: yes, somewhat. Not entirely, but that's a more rational solution.

That way it gives jobs to the homeless and it gets the condoms out there. Howabout that for a solution. Interesting. They should also say "protect yourself from the evil world kids." while handing out the condoms. Ok, no, but that was funny.

It's a very important part of safe sex, which is a very beautiful, good-feeling, natural act. And it's not a more rational solution. It's a more moral solution in your eyes.

They realize it will still go on, but in my opinion they don't have to promote sex, safe or not. Last time I bought condoms at a convince store it was $3 for a pack of 3. Fucking obscene. Also, I believe schools should not hand out the condoms themselves (to avoid folk like infinity21), but rather tell students in great length of a specific location where they can be had (i.e. Planned Parenthood). Sex can be an embarrassing, or at the least very private, topic, and news that you're sexually active will spread like wildfire in a high school. Teens are shy about discussing sex, especially things like where they can get condoms, since it reveals they are sexually active. If schools straight up tell the students where condoms are available, many teens now know where they can get condoms for free (or very cheap) without the embarrassment associated with finding out themselves. Students that were having unsafe sex will be more likely to have safe sex (good) and students who weren't having sex due to lack of condoms will probably do it now (but who cares?).

Possibly kids don't like the idea of going to a special centre where they're not anonymous, might meet someone they know, or might feel embarrassed or owe an explanation to an authority, or don't want to get caught having undersage sex!! blah blah. Are there condom dispensers in the school bathrooms lol? That would work I guess. Chibi would LOVE condoms to be distributed in elementary shool too!

Well, are you saying $1 for a condom is too expensive? Because it really isn't...It's quite affordable as long as you don't have sex 10 times every day, which I hope you don't (at least not on a school night, man). Just like you bought your condoms, I'm sure if one had the slightest motivation to get a condom, he can go to a drug store, a convenience store, or wherever that sells them. Yes, the school can tell them where to buy condoms for a fair price. I just don't like the part where you ask "who cares?". The point of making condoms available was to help people who are going to have sex anyways protect themselves, not to get more people to have sex. Which I think is a bad by-product, and we might have to consider these consequences before actually doing this.

The faster they're done, the happier Chibi gets~ ![]() and as a happy consequence, he'll be too busy to bother us about more pedophilia on TL... hopefully.

Which I think is a bad by-product, and we might have to consider these consequences before actually doing this. Say I have sex five times a week. So, $5 a week. I am a poor teenage kid. $5 a week adds up to $20 a month to $240 a year. It's not cheap. Currently I buy my condoms at Planned Parenthood for like $2 per 50. The school did nothing to inform me of this, though apparently counselors will tell you if you ask them. I've never heard of anybody asking the counselors about this, though. The difference between you and everyone else here is that you believe teenage sex is wrong (correct me if I'm not right, but this seems to be the case). But why is it wrong? What's wrong is teenagers having sex and procuring a child from it. That is wrong. Informing students of places like Planned Parenthood, where condoms can be had dirt cheap contributes to safe sex, not sex. Safe sex is good. Sex is bad.
