So you could say that his preparation was lacking. well, okay... he still had like 90 mins on his clock to "prepare" now It's interesting, because Anand seems to steer into sharp positions, yet doesn't bite at the end. Kind of counter intuitive, but he seems content with it, very interesting strategy. Carlsen definitely did a better job than yesterday. | ||

- anand was out of preparation - he seemed to think that carlsen was very confident in the position - he thought the position was very sharp just before trading the knights & queens - he was trying to recall the lines but he didn't see anything concrete - he decided to be cautious and not pursue sharp lines - he was still settling in and wanted to get comfortable with both white & black - he thinks that next games will be more interesting Carlsen said something funny: when asked what he was going to do on his day of rest he replied that he would do something relaxing after two tough days. | ||
