Anand didn't disappoint

32. Rd4 from Kramnik, allowing 32...Bxh2! tactic, snatching the Exchange and a pawn. Either Vlad is a genius who saw into 30 moves to find the compensation, or he just blundered. Computer thinks it's the latter...

And Svidler went for it.

Well... not as bad as missing the fact that he was about to get mated in 1 against computer back in... 2006 I wanna say.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

And a draw in Aronian - Topalov. Cameraman shown the Bulgarian knocking his head in a "how stupid I could be?" gesture. Indeed, he turned a comfortable position into difficult one and then defended it almost perfectly. Vishy still in a good lead.

4 more rounds to go.
Mind that Svidler and Karjakin have quite realistic chances because they still play against Anand.
They both need to win one more game and win against Anand to take the title (if Anand draws the rest).
Aronian is actually in a worse position, since he still needs to win 3 more games, given his loss against Anand in round 1.

If Anand loses one or more games, things get of course more interesting.
One big test for Anand will be today as Black against Kramnik.

I hope that Anand loses today otherwise the tournament will be quite over. He deserves to win the whole thing though.

Topalov's move lends this position some peculiarity:

Haha, during press conference Kramnik suggested playing Rfc1 for White and Anand immediately pointed out that it loses to tactics involving Queen sacrifice starting with Qxd3. After seeing this, Vlad was like "well, that would be my style blunder".

Karjakin sacrificed the exchange for some passed pawns.
This game is still quite interesting.

3 more rounds to go.
It already needs a small miracle for Anand not to win the whole thing.
Anand is the only player who hasn't lost any games while the others all have lost at least 2 games.
A very impressive tournament by Anand so far.
However, as seen in last year's tournament, crazy shit can still happen in the last rounds.

Anand is the only one who has not lost a game, indeed I think he didn't even come close to losing.
