The problem is just so monstrous and hits a few too many sacred cows that the only response is deflection and studied ignorance. From before:

I went back and checked and it really was your point.
I said multiple branches had issues.
You asked how my claim that multiple branches had issues would stand up to a hypothetical world in which they were from multiple denominations.
I explained that multiple branches actually presumes that there could be multiple denominations.
You said that if multiple branches have problems then surely everything on the tree must have problems.
I explained that that's not how branches work.

Do I need to quote the specific posts for you?

Dithering on multiple causes. Because the factory also churns out ball bearings, the tank production doesn't fit the same mold therefore it's unrelated to the war effort.

I'm confused, is this supposed to be some form of convoluted No True Scotsman to try to dismiss all the parts of Islam that have problems?

No. Because no one is saying that they are not Islamic. Child sex trafficking happens all over the world and Islam has no special claim to it.

Since it's not the sole progenitor of the practice, we can safely conclude that it has nothing to do with the case now.

But speaking to the non-crazy factions in this forum, if any are left, will post-Brexit immigration policy halt the recurrence and spread to a sufficient degree where it remains semi-isolated incidents?

Post-Brexit immigration policy is more open to the Indian subcontinent than pre-Brexit. These people didn't come in from Italy, their fathers came here from the colonies.

The EU and Muslim immigration in the UK are two completely separate issues. It's a decolonization issue.

Maajid Nawaz is a very interesting guy but I feel like he's boxed himself into a corner recently. His show has become a case of "Tune in next week to see Maajid Nawaz shouting at people who call in and then telling all muslims off."
I still think he has a point here though.

Sadly didnt have time to find and read actual position paper but given that similar is quoted in "Daily Mail" (i usually check both sides of the argument as you cant find unbiased one) I'll take guess thats quite accurate.

Seriously this is most amusing and looks like that:
- Give a 100 quid
- No!
- Ok I'll take the 1000 then

As of now it seems UK position is to keep asking for the same thing over and over, just wording it differently everytime.

The article is behind a paywall - I'm assuming this has something to do with the BREXIT negotiations?

If you can give us the title of the article it's going to be a lot easier to find. A ton of different stuff turns up when I google "brexit news".

Logically it would be possible to allow British products to be sold through the EU without border inspections, but only if Britain agreed to continue to conform to all EU commerce regulations. Which are the ones the Brexit people are trying to get out of.

Its the same problem as so many other parts of Brexit.

You can have X, but to do so you need to conform to all current and future EU rules, in which case nothing changes except you no longer have a say in what those rules are.

Or you can have a hard Brexit but then you get a ton of extra costs which may well cause some businesses to move out of the UK to somewhere in Europe because the cost of moving is cheaper long term then the cost of paying the extra import cost.

It seems entirely plausible we'll end up just taking the EU label off our regs but adhering to them all the same.

We may have to pay the price of hubris but at least we'll be paying it in pounds and shillings.

There may be an economic price to pay for sovereignty. That is well understood. Some things are more important.

Is there an actual British person left in this thread who is in favor of Brexit? Be it soft or hard.

Kinda boring to have a discussion if there is no one to discuss with.

Sovereignty is priceless. Therefore the economic cost of Brexit is always worth it.
