It was quite common during my childhood as well, having the dual faucets.
Depending on water pressure using a flow heater or gas heating without a storage can also end up either too cold or too hot. Only central heating (or a boiler for the really old fashioned) has the advantage of a very easily adjustable temperature in my book.

Where's Bardtown with a 500 word essay in defense of the (obviously) superior English style retarded dual tap?

no I've got the right one, the left one's even worse

This is my problem and assumed what the discussion was about, I didn't even know that the two tap thing existed.

Welcome to some of my problems with the UK. :D I think whoever installs 2 taps nowadays should be whipped until they apologise.

When I think about it this just harms small and medium enterprises. The rich ones are fine either way. I thought Conservatives were the party of better economy? lol

You think you have it bad. In the old house of my childhood there were beautifully inlaid red and blue glass circles to denote which tap was which. Only...red was cold and blue was hot.

Mrs May has taken over the conservative party she isn't free market liberal. I would suggest she has more in common with Ed Miliband than Margaret Thatcher.

https://capx.co/theresa-may-and-the-battle-for-the-conservative-partys-soul/

May's chief of staff wrote an article last year saying: “the libertarians who make it a mark of their ideological machismo that they quote Ayn Rand, whose heroic character Howard Roark boasted in The Fountainhead: ‘I recognise no obligations toward men except one: to respect their freedom.’” People like this, Timothy said, should be kept “away from the cameras, out of high office and ideally nowhere near any position of influence in the Party”

The conservative party has tacked very heavily leftwards and while its going to win them a thumping majority im not sure its any good for the country or economy.

Is ~200k net migration that the article mentions really a problem? For comparison:

Drastic reduction could probably result in negative pop. growth and it seems a fair bit away from threatening 'cohesive society' as May calls it in that article

I'm not for austerity for austerities sake but with the deficit at £50bn still I would say there hasn't been any significant austerity year on year public debt is still going up and will continue to go up under May.

I've read a bit about Conservatives' manifesto and I think it has quite a lot of shit. Charging employers for hiring non-EU nationals (soon probably EU nationals) is a way to hit small business for sure. Confirming hard Brexit and hoping for free trade deal is a fairytale that's not going to happen. Replicating EU's free trade deals 100% is another fairytale. Cutting immigration to under 100,000 is just a lie in the near future.

Still, a lot of people will vote for Conservatives even just for Brexit itself.

They actually did have a 100 seat majority in the latest model. 9% behind still means they lose all marginal seats. It's worrying how well Labour are doing, though. But the Tories have no good policies at all, so it's not really surprising. Most of their support comes from respecting the referendum result and not being Corbyn.

Do you refer to Jonathan Pie's video? It's very funny. I can't give a link because of TL mods. :D
