Edit: This should probably be added to the original post. On June 24 2013 22:45 R1CH wrote: Start of the NY (and several other big cities) pride week. While June itself is considered more of a pride month, we didn't want to have a banner up for more than a week. Since TLHQ is based in NY it seemed appropriate ![]()

Also, I didn't know June is the month of gay pride. That might be related to the zodiac sign Gemini which mostly covers June and represents twins.

What do you think you're actually changing by doing this? someone was banned in HSC LR threads cause of pretty excessive gay bashing. Scarlett has had quite a few idiots hating on her and just being stupid in general. just saying, while i agree that the sc2 community fortunately seems to be quite liberal and supportive of gay rights, surely not everybody is. also "gay" and "faggot" are still used as negative terms for just about anything/anyone.

I don't take them on a person to person basis, just if i meet someone, even if they are a giant douche, but they are one of the blacks, i love 'em... see 'cause I can only see that they are a the black and not the individual. totally not rascist. that's like anti rascist, because I notice the color of their skin so it affects how I view them, but positively. That's what equality is all about, lumping people together into groups, and then deciding your opinion of them based on what group they are instead of seeing the individual and not classifying them based on factors of ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, etc.

Just like the word "bastard" is discrimination against people whose parents weren't married or something. I wouldn't know because all I know about bastard is that it means bastard. And when you call someone idiot you are discriminating against the mentally ill.

What do you think you're actually changing by doing this? There's enough ignorant, mostly Christian or otherwise deluded, people who think they can dic(k)tate what happens in other people's bedrooms and most of them use the Internet.

No, but it is discrimination when you refer to someone or something as "retarded" as an analogue to being "bad".

What do you think you're actually changing by doing this? You only need to go as far as the reddit thread about the header (here) - or at least the bottom comments - to understand. There are terrible people in ESPORTS as there are in any group. This banner shows such people are not welcome. There's a huge amount of homophobia in the gaming communities in general and anything that makes those homophobes feel unwelcome is welcome to me.

LGBT Rights are the type of thing, that will be eventually a given right to everybody (hopefully all over the world, altho religion will have something to say about that).. Some day we will think "WTF? People were killed because they were gay?", "they couldn't marry before?" Has a heterosexual man with some gay friends, I simple want to say that race, religion, sexual preference shouldn't be enought for a person to hate another!
