The gun control argument stops now. I know it's fun to argue about it in the heat of the tragedy when you can get all worked up about it but it's pretty disrespectful and if you don't care enough about the issue to make a separate topic for gun control then you don't care enough to shit on the tragedy by exploiting it. That stat doesn't mean a whole lot to be honest. You're going to have to at least take out suicide and accidental deaths which bumps it down to a 3/100,000. Especially when you're using Japan as an example, which has one of the world's highest suicide rates.... just not by firearms.
