PPP's new South Carolina poll continues to find Donald Trump with a wide lead in the state. He's at 35% to 18% each for Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, 10% for John Kasich, and 7% each for Jeb Bush and Ben Carson.

-By an 80/9 spread, Trump voters support his proposed ban on Muslims entering the United States. In fact 31% would support a ban on homosexuals entering the United States as well, something no more than 17% of anyone else’s voters think is a good idea. There’s also 62/23 support among Trump voters for creating a national database of Muslims and 40/36 support for shutting down all the mosques in the United States, something no one else’s voters back. Only 44% of Trump voters think the practice of Islam should even be legal at all in the United States, to 33% who think it should be illegal. To put all the views toward Muslims in context though, 32% of Trump voters continue to believe the policy of Japanese internment during World War II was a good one, compared to only 33% who oppose it and 35% who have no opinion one way or another.

Aren't the soldiers defending against the Soviet Union? They probably should go home. Also Germany can totally handle itself. Historically speaking the issue is that Germany is way too good at handling itself.

Seven US marshals armed with automatic weapons turned up at Paul Aker’s home in Houston, Texas, last week to arrest him over a $1,500 student loan debt dating back to 1987.

“It was totally mind-boggling,” Aker said. “I was wondering, why are you here? I am home, I haven’t done anything ... Why are the marshals knocking on my door? It’s amazing.”

Aker said he was arrested, shackled and taken to federal court. “I was told: ‘You owe $1,500.’ I just couldn’t believe it,” he told Fox 26. “I was taken before a judge surrounded by seven marshals.”

Texas representative Gene Green, a Democrat, said it was unacceptable that US marshals are being used to collect decades old student loans. “There’s bound to be a better way to collect on a student loan debt that is so old,” he told the station.

Aker is unlikely to be the only person to be surprised by marshals collecting on student loans. A source at the marshal’s office told Fox 26 that it is planning to serve warrants on 1,200 to 1,500 people over student loan debts.

Student debts are at a record high, with 2015 graduates saddled with an average debt of $35,000, according to analysis of government data by Edvisors, a student finance advice site. That level of debt is more than twice the amount US graduates had just two decades earlier, even adjusted for inflation. About 40 million Americans have outstanding student loans.

The reports come as students and graduates are preparing for a series of meetings on the Capitol demanding action over escalating student debt. Students from Corinthian Colleges, a for-profit college company that went bankrupt last year, will on Wednesday be joined by students from other for-profit colleges including the Art Institutes, ITT Tech, and the University of Phoenix in a “fight back against educational debt” protest.

Last year, 15 former Corinthian students launched the nation’s first student debt strike, refusing to pay back loans incurred to attend for-profit Corinthian Colleges.

I don't even care about the wall. You can actually think that taxing Mexican products enough to pay for the wall and to make jobs in the US is an legitimate policy (I don't).
But how can you take someone serious that takes nothing and no one serious? I want to hear that from a person who actually would rally for him. No excuses like "they're just angry".

Well there's a billion articles on the subject if you just google them, or you can go find a Trump forum or Facebook group and talk to them. If you want it straight from the horse's mouth there's nothing stopping you from getting it.

But we have fried twinkies, so that makes up for it.

I read a HuffPo article about how Obama could nominate himself and the Republicans would implode because they have a chance to get rid of him but it would require appointing him to the Supreme Court. It was pretty great.

Its 100% name recognition and Clinton has had more impact on national issues than Sanders. Sanders record in impressive, but unless you lived in his state, there isn’t a lot of reasons to know his name. Someone also made the point that follow through on issues for minority groups is a bigger factor for black voters, rather than proposed policies.

But its mostly that she is a known quantity.

I think it has something to do with Bill Clinton being very popular with black people, and her having the same name. Most voters don't think a lot about who they support.

Bill Clinton is considered to be the first black president because he plays the saxophone, was born to a poor to middle class family, and was overall able to connect with black people in a way previous presidents have not been able to.

His plan does nothing but drive away American companies away and create not incentive to innovate.

Nobody with a smart mind would stay in a country where they have to give away 90% of their wealth.

Wealth isn't the same as income and nobody is proposing a 90% tax. When you're done struggling to beat a straw man let us know so we can clear you a seat at the big boy's table.

Nobody is purposing a tax rate that could go as high as 90% except for Bernie Sanders.

You really need to stop listening to that idiot in the toupe.

Video is not even there, let's talk about evidence.

Sure, please provide non-Trump based evidence that Sanders ever said or claimed he would be taxing anyone at 90%. Direct quote or document from his campaign.

Just google it.

The fact remains:

He wanted to do 90% tax rate.

But then he got called on it, then backed away from it.

Now he still wants to raise taxes for the "1%" higher than it is now but still haven't decided on what's that number yet.

But companies will leave if you make the tax rate high, especially international companies that doesn't rely on domestic consumption.

If I had a dollar for every time an American says they'll immigrate over a presidential election . No one ever does though lol

I like it when they claim they leaving of a socialist was elected, but plan to go to Ireland or Canada.

i mean i've said i fully intend to support sanders if he gets the nom, but if he fucks things up as president if elected im moving

“Just google it” is not an accepted form of evidence. Please provide a direct quote or other information from Sanders of his intent to tax at 90%. People have provided numerious pieces of information to refute your claim, so it’s all on you.

Or stop making stuff up. Its not nice to lie.

We already did politfact. It shows Trump claiming it and it being rated a lie. If you google it you'll get hits on Trump claiming it, which is true, and Trump being an idiot, which is also true.
