I only like alcohol when im drunk. as a result, i dont drink much. its a poison, nuff said. when you drink it, your body says beware. the taste and smell are foul, and only intoxication makes it bearable, making the poison ever deadlier. Stay sober, 420 yo!

Why would anyone pay to drink a beer from a bottle with a dead squirrel wrapped around it?
How is that "awesome"? Sounds more "Joe Dirt" to me.

When you say "acidic," do you mean acidic like and acidic flavor or just that it tastes harsh?
If you mean you're getting an acidic flavor (like vinegar), you're probably drinking a lot of cheap or poorly stored wine, or you're drinking acidic mixed drinks (lots of citrus, etc). Try something else. Buy better quality alcohol or try something new. The vast majority of beers have very little if any acidic flavor.
If you mean it tastes "harsh" there are a few options. Cheap hard liquor will almost always taste harsh or volatile, so avoid that. There's also a chance that you're just not used to the taste of alcohol. Most people naturally like the taste of moderate concentrations of alcohol (beer or weak wine), but anything much stronger can be an acquired taste. Start with something easy like some sugary mixed drinks or whatever beers are most popular where you live.

Did you just say, Stay sober, 420?
You know being high is not being sober right?
And since we are on the subject of alcohol, i have recently fell in love with Ninkasi brewery here in Oregon state. Nothing i have tried from them has been bad, all packed with flavor.
The double IPA "tricerahops", the first time i had that, i was almost done with the tall bottle and as wondering why i felt it so much. It was super easy to drink and very hoppy, turns out its over 8%. I had no idea. Great beer, great taste.

black butte porter and obsidian stout are probalby my favorite beers, in that order i've recently been dabbling in tequila, but i don't know what i'm doing. haha

rum + coke, or jackd + coke, or heineken
im not too picky, i think alcohol is a poison and it kills the body bit by bit
if you get serious with alcohol, like you only favor one kind, you're probably out of shape, and unhealthy
i read a post and some guy was friendly with marijuana, putting smoke into your lungs isn't natural either, think of humans in an area full of smoke, doesn't seem liveable
sober is the way to go, get your high from running up a hill with 30 lbs on your back, drink your alcohol on friday and saturday nights

I'm moving from Oregon to New York in a month and the things I am bringing with me are computer, few scraps of clothing, as much Ninkasi as I can possibly fit in suitcase. One of the first great beers I had was the Tricerahops and Oatis has got me through the toughest of tough times (and also been there with me through the bestest of best times). I am just hoping Ninkasi can make it out to the east coast some time, it is second only to Oakshire for me. Fuck I'm going to miss Oregon

Has anyone else tried this?
![[image loading]](http://www.barnonedrinks.com/tips/articles/images/wow.jpg)
It is categorized as White Whisky, it's whisky (which according to Canadian standards has been aged at least three years in oak) that has been carbon filtered until it's clear.
Very interesting taste. I think I prefer it as a vodka substitute, rather than as an actual whisky haha. Nonetheless, it's delicious and has a great nose, as well as a pretty good palate. I wouldn't sip it alone, but in a mix it's really quite excellent.

So I've found a bottle of "King's Ransom 'Round the World' blended scotch whiskey...
It's in an earthenware ceramic jug with stopper, fully sealed... I can't find any information on it and can only date it between 1904 and 1946, distilled by William Whiteley & Co Distillers, Leith, Scotland. This seems to be the now-called Eradour distillery.
So... what do?
I can put a pic up if people want

should be worth something if it's that old

Is that guy wearing a fedora AND drinking bud lite platinum WHILE posing on webcam? -_-...

I am not an expert on scotch, but "blended scotch whiskey" means the actual contents are a mix of many different scotches all from different grains, malts, and possibly distillers; usually comparatively cheaper. Fine scotches are usually single malt.
It sounds like a really cool bottle that I would showcase proudly though, especially with the antique age.
