Roommate got sick 2 weeks ago, has a shit immune system. This week I had a huge chem test. He slept all day, and was therefore up all night coughing. I got 4 hours of sleep before a 7:45 test. He rescheduled it because he was sick and took it the next day at 5PM. And I can't even be too mad because it's not his fault he's sick. I'm only writing this now because this fucker is STILL SICK. And he refuses to go to the student health center. Like what the fuck?

When my hypocritic neo-anarchist friend starts talking about how me having a job and working to be able to pay rent and live a decent life is "being a part of the system" and that american corporations are "evil", yet he's sitting there playing League of Legends on Windows 7 by Microsoft, Microsoft EASILY being one of the biggest badguys out there, right? But no, my friend "enjoys playing videogames" and won't boycott Microsoft because of that. BRO, either stop being such a fucking hypocrit or get the fuck outa my face with your neo anarchy bullshit. You can believe what you want, but don't try to convert me or judge me based on your fucked up views. If you wanna live out in the woods and eat moss and insects for the rest of your life, be my guest. But don't try to drag me along. Sigh.. Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with this? I rage as soon as he mentions his views, and that spurs him on. How do I tell him, in a nice way, to get the fuck out of my face with that crap?

Well one thing that is very frustrating about having any revolutionary ideology is that you are always dependent on the system you want to overthrow so have some empathy for him. I don't know much about the guy you explained, but what always angered me about such anarchists as you explained is that they seem to know very little about their ideology. Yes, they might've heard of Bakunin, they know Chomsky through YouTube but never read any of his books or texts, and they watched the Zeitgeist series and then know world politics all of a sudden. And what is the worst about such people is that they seem to be dying to say in the future "You know, I was once a radical like yourself..." And to finish what grinds my gears, I will say that image macros as a means of expressing a political opinion is one of the worst forms of political discourse I ever witnessed. Why read any books, articles, or listen to lectures when you have a image with 5-10 words that automatically assumes that any opposition towards it makes you an irrational human being?

Working together with people who read an email, dont know jackshit about the topic and think they should "bring their point" into the discussion, while it is not even remotely connected to the topic. You were on CC only for a reason, mate...

I have a similar problem with belts (particularly dress belts for some reason) where one notch will be slightly too loose while going in the other direction gives my pants the bacon effect. So aggravating. Speaking of belts, what about going with large and using a belt?

Also lazy/unimaginative panhandlers. My complaint isn't about them being homeless, asking for money, or anything (I don't know how they got there and/or they have been 'street institutionalized' so that they don't feel comfortable any where else). My complaint is that if you want something from me let's make it a fair exchange. Example: My friends and I passed a panhandler the other day who had a sign. It wasn't your classic generic 'Will work for food" (I actually haven't seen one of these for a while) or "Anything helps, God Bless". It also wasn't the more modern and at least slightly comical "Ninjas killed my parents, need money for karate lessons" or 'Who am I fooling, I want money for booze and dog food". It was a rather novel sign that read "Sick of your boss? Your partner cheat/leave/a pain in your ass? Just want to rip someone a new one? For a small donation I will be your verbal punching bag" The wording was slightly different but the point was, you can say whatever you want to me for money. Of course we like most people had something that fit that descriptions. We all took turns lacing into him (verbally) when we were done he couldn't stop laughing at some of the things we said (I have some pretty creative assholes for friends). He made $10 in about 5 minutes and couldn't stop laughing, We all felt better except for aggravating my hangover from the yelling (I don't think it was really that loud I was just that hungover) and no one left the transaction feeling taken advantage of. Before someone says what about the poor homeless person getting verbally abused, trust me, we didn't say anything I hadn't heard or worse working in customer service for a mobile provider. Plus it was his idea and pretty damn good one if you ask me. He was outside the place we were eating Pho, and I saw him make more while I was eating than I made in a whole day working customer service so save your pity for the next customer service rep you see/speak with ![]()

Also the whole selfie/pouting/narcissistic world that social media enables. 'Bitch face' on evenings out - Stop deliberately trying to look grumpy and aloof, it's not impressive to anybody, doesn't make you look more attractive, eugh just don't!

For a better answer, recently it's been driving. Or more specifically, other drivers on the road. I realize that most traffic law exists for the purpose of maintaining the safety of the general public that uses public roads, and every time I see somebody being stupid or selfish while driving it just blows my mind that they could so trivially endanger themselves or random other people because they decide "stupid" rules don't apply to them. I don't tolerate stupidity very well when it's in control of a deadly weapon like a motor vehicle. It doesn't help things that here in the U.S., in many states you'll never have to retake your driver's exam so long as you renew it before it expires. Until some idiot causes an accident it never catches up to them. It really says something to me that vehicle accidents are the #1 cause of unintentional death in young people and that is car + poor decision making ability = deadly scenario. *sigh*
