They did the same thing yesterday with the witness that got completely demolished, two of them thought that her testimony went just fine. Hilarious.
Well, yesterday's witness simply didn't see anything but could testify to what she heard. In that case, it's not a matter of credibility, just not very helpful. The witnesses today are testifying to complete and utter bullshit. Comparing media pictures of their faces to determine which was bigger on the night she is supposed to be an eyewitness to. That's beyond ridiculous. The quality of the witnesses today HAS to make the jury wonder about the prosecution's case as a whole. If you had a case, you simply wouldn't use these ridiculous witnesses.

just tuned in, are they in recess already?

If I were the DA, I would have led the trial off with that evidence. They claim because he was so responsible in the past that he was fed up with people getting away so he wanted to take matters into his own hands and had intent to kill that night. Its a joke of an argument as there is nothing to prove such a thing, and the 911 tapes only go to show another calm and collective man trying to report. zzzz not sure why I am watching this, i feel like its a bad attempt at filming a law and order knockoff. That's not remotely close enough. They'll eat a directed verdict on the second degree murder charge if that's all they have. You think from this Judge ? she isnt that bad a of a judge. from what i have seen, her rulings so far havent been out of line with the law, and she is being very careful. i wouldnt dismiss her outright.

Yeah, my concern about the Judge has been based on information occuring before the trial started. I can't say I have major issues based on how she's handled the trial so far.
edit: They're about to resume.
|
they are tag teaming her, thats not fair!
|
That question definitely confused her, lol
|
What was the prosecutor trying to pull there? It's like he wanted her to say she didn't see the photos until after drawing the comparison when she clearly had been talking about using photos to draw the comparison.

Yeah, kind of a no-win situation there for him, though. I'm not sure how she even answered that question lol.
edit:
Estimate of his age in photo used for comparison: 11 or 12. Fucking priceless. The 12 dumbest people in the county are no longer the jurors (I know there's only 6 on this jury), but at least one is testifying right now.
edit2:
Judge making a dumb ruling. Won't allow Mara to show witness a picture just because the witness had said earlier it wasn't one she had seen before coming up with her comparison of their relative sizes. Subsequently, witness said she would like to assess her testimony as to their relative sizes if shown a more recent picture of Trayvon. Mara wants to show her a more recent picture for this purpose, and Judge won't allow it ? WTF.

I'm late but it seems this lady couldn't judge who was who at the time but later was able to distinguish the shadows based on photos from the media? Photos being Zimmerman on the night of the incident vs 11-12yr old pictures of Trayvon?
And this is a witness FOR the prosecution? Is this a joke?
|
comparing zimmerman's current (as of incident) picture with a 12 year old trayvon.....jesus christ....

The prosecution is absolutely despicable for thinking they can come to trial and try someone for 2nd degree murder with the evidence and witness testimony they have brought out thus far. They have no evidence at all. Their one key witness yesterday was shown to be not only unreliable but a liar. This trial is a joke.

add to that, the Judge's ruling to not allow the Defense to show her the picture of Trayvon on the night of the shooting at the 7-11 as a more recent picture to compare their sizes. I mean, fuck, just the comparison between the clerk and Trayvon, knowing that isn't the clerk 5'10" and George Zimmerman shorter than even that ?

The call to prosecute would have come from the highest levels taking into account the political context (i.e. rioting folk).
I think even the lead prosecutor, Dr. Phil, knows his case is bogus and his witnessess laughable.

it hasnt been the best case so far, but they may be saving stuff. this might just be the background.

Not prosecuting would bring outrage, so they prosecute and show the world the incredible bullshit case they had and why they weren't going to prosecute in the first place. This is assuming people use facts and logic when deciding to riot. Which I imagine they don't or they wouldn't be rioting. This whole justice for Trayvon thing pissed me off. It's not justice to charge a man when you know you have no case. You are costing this man money, time, and liberty. The facts didn't support the prosecution and by bringing it to trial you are wronging the individual you are charging, you are costing the taxpayer money, and feeding the frenzy created by the media when you should state your facts and reasoning and tell them to shut the fuck up and deal with it.

lol lead prosecutor 'objection...mumblemumble..'
even the originally testimony was bad 'i used the pictures' why on earth the state thought this lady was a good witness.. just terrible.
|
Wait, did I just hear that the prosecution gets the last word, even on witness testimony ? I thought testimony always ended with cross, but I guess not, or maybe it's a Florida thing.
|
Cool, the witness ASSUMED Zimmerman was on top because she later saw images of the 12 year old Trayvon Martin pictures and assumed Zimmerman had to be the one on top because of the age difference. This is the prosecution's witness... LOL.
