I'd be super irritated about the ink on the collar too, I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's like it makes it permanently damaged. If I buy something new, I want it to be pristine.

That jacket looks ridiculous O_O. Sorry to hear about that! Did you get measured in person for this? If so that's a tragedy. Yup. I got measured in person. One thing I left out in my main post is information about my fitter. He is an older gentleman. IIRC he's 65. My internal alarms went off when some questions weren't asked regarding certain details of the suit/shirt, and I had to bring it up myself. He was also irritated when I asked him whether the suit will have pick stitching on the lapels or not, which he replied, "Sir, now you are just too particular. You are taking too much of my time, blah blah blah, Yes we do have pick stitching." To be easy, I was quite apologetic and tried to move things forward. I admit I'm very particular. I can notice every small detail, and this is not just about clothing and fashion. Even at work when I'm working on projects. This is just the way I am. However I do realize I can be a huge pain in the ass for some salespeople/tailors. There are certain salespeople at my local Brooks Brother who would never want to deal with me. I only deal with a couple of them, and they are the best. Very good selection, fantastic service and top notch tailoring. The only problem is its somewhat middle of nowhere location, in Arthur. Unfortunately, I live in Calgary. There isn't a big selection of tailors here. Regarding tailors that actually make suits, we have like two. There is an Italian guy which I heard was quite renowned back then, but he is like 72 or 73 now. Last I heard, there is another Styleforum member in town who had a bespoke suit made with said tailor, had bad results as well. Then we have another Vietnamese tailor who has been around in the city for about ten years. He's in his 40's and is pretty good. He is my alteration tailor. However, I doubt I would ever get any suits from him, as his cuts are boxy. On December 31 2012 05:05 SweeTLemonS[TPR] wrote: That suit looks like it was made for a man 40 lbs heavier. I emailed all their management. Pretty much just playing the waiting game now. I started prepping for that post around 8pm last night, and finished everything at 3am. For business casual workplaces, how do you usually dress? Are sweaters on top of dress shirts too much, or basically only dress shirts? I'm also looking at jackets to wear on top of the dress shirt on my way to work, but I'm not sure what kind of styles work well with that.

Is there a huge quality difference between indochino and lets say hugo boss/hr/brooks brothers? (both fabrics are super 100/120 yet price difference is high)

I'd be hesitant to try even if I had this kind of money Well, it's their own site, so obviously the testimonials are going to be positive. Same for any company. The SF thread you linked I actually went through it. The members that wrote the bad reviews have like 1 to 3 posts, which seems like trolls or maybe even competitors registering dummy accounts just to bad mouth Hiras. This was pointed out by other members as well in the thread. The majority of the reviews were fair to good reviews, hence why I decided to give them a shot. Shirt and tie, sweater and shirt with no tie, sweater and shirt with tie, shirt and jacket with no tie, etc. These can all be considered business casual. Brooks Brothers make much better suits. Hugo Boss don't really make good suits. There are plenty of other companies that makes better suits at that price point. Search SF if you want to look into it more.

I don't know how people expect to get a good fitting suit without multiple fittings though. I would be paranoid spending hundreds of dollars on a suit and just going in once getting measured and picking it up a week later. I always make sure to try the stuff on as It's coming together to make sure it is actually what I want. I am also extremely lucky in that my build is almost the exact same as what tailors seem to use for most standard off the rack suits. I can get a perfect fit out of an off the rack jacket with only a few alterations normally, and only get something tailored when I am after something special/unusual.

What occasion is this outfit for. At first it looks like it might be formal due to the tie, but then i look at the jeans, and then the shirt, and then hat and I conclude that is in no way formal. Get rid of that shirt. That over-dyed blue is aweful and will look good with nothing. That hat is terrible. Never wear it again. The jeans are baggy and the wash is terrible. The facial hair is terrifying at best. The sockets are hideous. Consider a darker sock that is not that height, or don't wear socks at all. I would love to give more specific advice, but I can't tell what occasion this is for.

http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/madden-shoes-jager-boots?ID=596965&upc_ID=30634492&Quantity=1&seqNo=10&EXTRA_PARAMETER=BAG I've never worn boots before (besides snow boots/etc)...how would I incorporate something like this into my wardrobe- or is it even possible to do so without looking silly? I am a high school teacher so the dress code is 'business casual,' but I like to dress better than that - no jeans, never a polo, almost always a tie accompanied by a jacket/sweater/vest.

However, I am going to order a bunch of things from Macys.com. They have added more things to their end of year sale. I am in dire need of new shoes so I'll be ordering some (without trying them on!? insanity) and worst case scenario I'll just return them. Also, if you need undershirts these are the best: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/calvin-klein-underwear-stretch-t-shirt-2-pack-u2668?ID=483208&upc_ID=29111770&Quantity=1&seqNo=9&EXTRA_PARAMETER=BAG 30% off right now.

Get v necks so it doesnt show when you wear a buttoned shirt. What kind of shoes are you looking for? I'm actually searching for some boots. Redwings / wolverine 1000 miles are the clear options but i want to see if there's any less common, good quality boots at a similar price ($300)

This should not be a concern at all.
