i don't think any biker jackets outside of schotts could even be considered fashionable in terms of looks

isn't the leather supposed to be a thick ass calfskin because it's supposed to shield you from the elements/crashes?

Thick is good, but you can have a bit of a softer lighter leather (to an extent) as long as there is ample padding underneath to make up for it. I have a vest as well that is "thick ass calfskin" (very heavy stuff, not the most comfortable) that I put over sweatshirts/sweaters, but this time I just wanted something kind of futuristic and unique. I agree 100% it is not fashionable =P
I just posted here as it seemed like the closest topic to a "Men's clothing thread" TL has.

I checked out Schott's motorcycle lineup, they have some pretty great looking retro styles. (The El Camino is pretty hilarious though). Most of my wardrobe is conservative though, so I went a bit nuts with the imagination for my cycle jacket. =]

What do you guys think of Acronym? I never paid them much attention cuz of the prices, and that I always thought the urban ninja aesthetic is cheesy. Although I've been playing MGSV a lot and I enjoyed Deus Ex so I can somewhat identify. They've carved out a niche for themselves in high streetwear which is admirable. I also like how their silhouette favors wider hip/thighed men. Just seems that because their production is so limited and nothing ever goes on sale, that the prices are ludicrous for people who don't truly parkour or do w/e they're supposed to in techwear. I really want their tapered pants but I can't justify dropping that much and paying retail for something so limited in use. And in my experience with techwear, people who don't snowboard or don't live in Northern Canada really have no use for it. They have this one feature that's pretty neat and I'd actually use which is a velcro/magnet thing by the collar that you can set your earbuds against, otherwise I have zero need for any of the fancy stuff.

Techwear has great applications for everyday/commuting wear. It allows you to cut down on the number of pieces you have due to the versatility of the garment. It can stretch, breath, repel water etc...

No, I think you do. Wage costs for production is usually only a small part of clothing manufacturing. A fair wage with good working condition wouldn't place the price up fivefold. You are paying for the design of the clothing, including fashion and associated feelings of artisan blah blah blah and you know that you are.
