I need a cheap professional tie for interviews, as I only have a navy knit one at the moment. nothing too serious, i'm interviewing /career fairing for a science position
suit is grey shirts are white, houndstooth blue, ocbd blue, ocbd pink, herringbone white only planning to own 2 ties, so the most coverage is ideal.
i don't know if fake grenadine is worth it. i almost wish i'd gotten a black knit so i can have a solid navy.
what do i get boys? black pinstripe, solid black, navy polka dot, or navy pinstripe?
leaning between these 3

so Totakaelo is moving to NYC and most likely closing their store in Seattle. There was a discussion on SF about it. The veterans like Fok said their buys are boring and they'll get killed. I don't disagree they'll get killed but I was surprised that people think their stock is boring. I get that every shop has CP/Geller/Saturday Surf NYC w/e, but I always liked looking at the Totokaelo pieces cuz they're styled well and presented in big pictures. They also stock Dries/Haider/Yohji which I don't think any shops in NA does of all three. Which makes me wonder, what do you guys think is boring when it comes to buys? I don't really keep up with what's hip and whatnot, the only shop I trust completely in is Suspension Point. I like smaller shops in general with focused buys and a few eccentric designers that I'd feel comfortable trying out if measurements are given. I honestly have no idea of what's cool and what's boring. If it's something I haven't seen and seems wearable, I'll consider it. I try not to go too far into any end of one spectrum, such as dark artisan or Japanese workwear, anything in between is okay. The only things I'm favorable towards are cool sneakers,

Totokaelo have amazing stock, probably my favorite online store just to look at, anyone who thinks otherwise is a pompous shithead
|
I like their buys but their shit is styled poorly/executed badly
|
could you elaborate?
fok said they look like a typical cool persons shop with monochrome styling and a few ethnic pieces thrown in for interest. Their designer list doesn't make a lot of sense I agree, and I've never bought from them before cuz their markeups seem rather high and they never have sales. But honestly though which shops actually styles their clothes well? I just wanna see how something looks in bright light and in a big photo. I don't have the build of a model so I'm necessarily looking for things that shops aren't focusing on.

what's a good price for my schnieder rock coat if i wanted to sell it? assuming its only been worn a few times and in a size 4. Saw another coat for 550 usd but I dunno if thats too high or low

I always list things close to what I actually paid for, that's considering sales, good deals, etc. Just ignore the lowballs and stay firm if you're not looking for a quick sale.

Hmm I don't look at their men's section as often but I think their women's section is styled impeccably. Maybe the men's is a little average considering what they stock, but the ladies styling is definitely great.

I always liked what I've seen on Totakelo even though I never really found myself wanting to buy any of the pieces. But they look nice and I feel like their styling is fine? I have no idea what's considered hip/cool though. Maybe I'll check out their store if I'm in the area after it opens.

i love some of the fits
+ Show Spoiler +
but some are pretty bad yeah

the women's though, man. i could look at this all day. makes me wish i could dress like them.

i think a big part of totokaelo's appeal to me is their juxtaposition. they put stuff like rick/annD/yohji/margiela alongside our legacy/acne/marni/rachel comey. on some fits it looks off, but i find a lot of them really interesting. some even really fantastic.

$270 for this? You've got to be joking.

message I just received on Grailed from the guy who bought a bomber from me 3 weeks ago:
"i have been trying to get ahold of this delivery... usps claims they have delivered. i have been to my post office, and on the phone with them, with no result. they claim that they delivered it, and the confirmation states delivered to front door/porch. i don't have one - i live in an apartment building. if unavailable, they always leave a pick up slip. i checked with my superintendent and my neighbors - and nothing. i will have to open a dispute, since it has been too long already."
Tracking shows the item was delivered/left at door on 8/28, shipped on 8/26.
I should be fine right? All the proof basically says I did everything right on my end.

if you have the original address you shipped it to and the address he gave you matches then it should be ok, although you should ship with signature next time I think he suspects you're trying to scam him with the whole wrong address schtickschtick so if you have the above there's really nothing he can say.

Does the tracking number include the destination address in its information? It's not on the webpage but could I get it from the post office? I don't think the receipt had the delivery address on it, and I don't have it anymore. I obviously have the address he gave me which is his paypal address.
