I'm kinda thinking the coat is too minimal to the point of bland. What do you guys think of the UniqloxLemaire stuff? Women's is better I think. Men's outerwear is good, not sold on the sweaters, but definitely better than the Plokhov collab and +J rerelease. Considering the prices, the collection is truly high fashion brought to the mass market. Like I can't imagine getting more value out of $200 in fashion than the kaftan-inspired big coat. Lemaire seems a great pick to bridge formal and casual wear, and high/low fashion in general, which is essentially what uniqlo does. The sweat of undernourished azn boys makes fashion miracles. I feel similar in terms of their stuff I saw earlier on redditl; Their mens stuff was pretty decent-good, although underhwhelming compared to the womens things. I wish they would bring more longer cardigans to the mens side as well. They are hard to find for a decent price. meh

I'd look at that if you want drapey black/grey stuff. I put something up on grailed and someone offered me the price I wanted within 5 minutes. Feels good.

Thanks, although it seems most of their stuff is more shawl/cape like things rather than heavier cardigan style things which I like. I suppose there really isn't a way to get them for cheap. It is possible that I could buy a women's one, hm.

I'm in the same position with sizing actually. I usually wear an XS for all my shirts, but I buy pretty much all my coats in S. I think coats are best to layer as it is, along with the fact that the slightly oversized coat aesthetic looks great if you have a good build/wear slim fit clothes (which I do, and many others do with it)

![]() What are some decent brands w/ more classy (also slimmer) jackets I could look for, without really breaking the bank? Obviously high fashion/higher end stuff is neither within my budget/knowledge/would generally be a waste on me, but just like nice jackets.
