Look fine to me that's probably around what my BMI is~

the designer, hedi slimane, is recreating at SLP what he did at Dior, which andy talked about, that is the super thin drug addict rocker silhouette and style. Kinda played out imo and at ridiculous markups.

i have a pair of slp selvedge from early 2014(?) and i mostly like the cut except for the thighs, especially the way it constricts around the rear portion of your quads. to me it looks effeminate but i guess that's the look; it's definitely not for everyone. you have to be pretty tall & lanky, or have pretty long legs in proportion to the rest of your (skinny) body. otherwise you're going to look silly, and even then you look real emaciated
i don't think it's as played out as most people think. either the people wearing slp look awful and often fail to conjure the look that slimane intended, or the brand is inaccessible in the sense that there aren't any fast fashion alternatives that emulate the look correctly. but i agree that he hasn't really done anything differently for the last 8+ years or so, every year it's just the same old heroin chic glam rock style.

I'm no fashion guru but I thought that reminded me of "heroin chic". I feel like the more I learn about fashion/models the less I understand.

To be honest, if you're even at an average body weight/height, there's no way you can recreate the SLP look because you'd be too fat for it.

SAW A DU WITH THE WANG BOOTS #fresh. Bunch of people with raw denim but I never have a chance to talk about it with ppl
I like that zuls, looks more cohesive than before.
I swear I might go full RL/BB one day. Still no aesthetic interests 2 years later

left leg looks fine but that stack on the right leg looks sloppy imo

relax those geobaskets a bit, they look like they're choking your feet bro
|
my ankles/feet went numb yesterday when walking around from pant tucking + zipping all the way. Also I think the fit would be better if I was more waifish since I wanted to have slim everything except for geos but my thighs/waist made the fit chunky anyway.
there's a TOJ black suiting wool ma-1 on SF, how much should these things go for? 300 ish?

what are you guys thoughts on wings and horns?

nah, rick owens is supposed to look the best for those who are built.
dna jeans are kinda tricky with geobaskets. i for one literally never tuck my pants into my shoes unless the shoe opening is wide enough for them to fall in automatically. i use boot bands (look them up) to create a stacking effect above the shoe right at the opening so i never have to choke my own feet.
anyway i usually wear geobaskets with rick owens cargo pants, prisoner pants, or pod shorts. my drkshdw memphis' leg opening is small enough to just go into the shoe by itself without my forcefully tucking it in. i guess what i'm trying to get at is that relaxed pants go with geobaskets really well, and dna pants are anything but relaxed.
loosen the lacing too. i never lace my geobaskets all the way because that looks kinda funny to me but overall i only lace them to the second highest hole and do the whole wraparound thing so the tongue protrudes out without making the shoe look all stiff.

Thanks, yea gonna loosen the lacing. I got a toj bomber that will hopefully be puffy enough, probably gonna just wear acnes but will look for prisoner pants or something similar.
also was looking up random stuff and realized that ziggy chen is basically ripping off paul harnden

As in it's a substantiated or unsubstantiated claim? Guessing the latter?
Also, is every mass produced leather chrome tanned? And every artisan/baller leather vegetable tanned? I know Himel bros use natural/vegetable tanned horsehide. If they don't say then I can assume it's chrome tanned? And does it matter either way except to satisfy the people who want true artisan/organic/natural processes.

mass production of leather involves chrome tanning no not every artisan/baller leather is veg tanned. RO leathers are chrome tanned, lv uses a lot of bonded & corrected grain leathers, and the same goes with many lux fashion labels. 'artisinal' brands usually use veg, but tbh that doesn't really mean much. I am pretty sure most of toj is chrome tanned, save for the select few lines they made with veg tanned leather.
often if it doesn't mention the name of the tannery or if it doesn't say veg tanned, it's somewhat safe to assume it's chrome tanned.

hate getting stuff just because it's on sale not cuz I wanted it in the first place but couldn't resist MrP 80% off
+ Show Spoiler +
For leather, is there a difference in quality between tanning processes or no? Does natural tanning allow the leather to develop patina and last longer or just bs? I read that chrome tanning is really bad for the environment.
Posted about this coat a couple months ago but the owner ultimately decided to keep. Today he pm'd me a Y! link for the exact same one but with the detachable fur collar. I'm kinda conflicted about this. What season is it from? Is OG Helmut Lang all grail or something? The Yen is really weak right now which will probably be the deciding factor (and andy's opinion).

should I just start a blog? Ima a start a blog and write shit no one cares about. Found out the HL coat is from AW99. I admire that he had the balls to destroy his archives, and that his designs, from 99, is still modern by today's standards and that he was doing monochrome before anyone else was (?). Gonna get the coat as a collector more than to wear.
