do you guys ever feel like getting something not for yourself but to show other people? I got geobaskets mainly cuz they're so recognizable, so I can walk around feeling like and looking like I'm wearing baller sneakers when this doesn't happen when I wear my AnnDs. Kinda dumb but l've found that, especially when living in a city, there's a certain satisfaction to looking recognizably fashionable besides actually dressing well. Some of the best dressed people I've encountered were wearing stuff I didn't recognize at all but I only remember the ones decked out in Hood by Air or Rick. I live in a wasteland of engineering students so geobaskets are a sign for people who know. I wanna get a RO jacket for this reason also. Maybe someday I'll move on and be totally satisfied with wearing clothes for myself but right now I can't resist. also some random questions I'm too scared to ask on SF Does Raf specialize in prints? The 03/05 collections and the ruby sterling ones all have lots of logos and prints Is it possible to wear geobaskets or any rick shoe with skinny jeans/pants? What do I have to wear for a top if so? I realized that the AnnD soles are all really big, is it to balance out the skinny bottoms and fits in general?

I dont think I dress particularly well but I definitely get a lot of looks when I wear my nice stuff and that alone feels good enough tbh. And every time someone compliments one of the expensive pieces I own I feel more justified in splurging on another piece. Also how often do you guys actually see people wearing Rick, etc where you live? I live in a smallish city that is pretty working class outside of the university and despite how common they are online, I've never seen anybody wearing CPs or Rick or anything really. Only exception was an asian girl wearing these, which was basically the dopest thing I've ever seen. Makes it a little easier to stand out I guess, which is nice. http://www.grailed.com/listings/42621-boris-bidjan-saberi-wrap-boots-43 <- Want these so much, in my size too but I don't need them at all. Hopefully someone cops before I end up making an offer.

i don't think i could ever pull off geobaskets. my ankles and legs are super skinny and they look huge on me. maybe if i some day go lunarcore. the fits i see all have skinny jeans because covering the geobaskets is pretty pointless.

In the past year or so the most baller stuff I've seen are just guidis/ricks, some guy in eth0s wore full plokohv with nikes and it was nice, my fav overall fit was a girl in the garment district coming out of Nepenthes decked out in full floral EG, and a girl in full Y's/Sacai from Shanghai, otherwise nothing remotely noteworthy, not even CPs.

Yeah Im waiting patiently for SLP chelseas or even similarly styled chelseas/sidezips in my size but havent found anything worth buying yet :/ I know Asos has chelseas that look exactly like SLP but I dont want to waste even $50 on that gutter trash unless I seriously cant find some decent ones.

my new years resolution is to only buy two complete outfits this year. basically gonna deck myself out in our legacy/norse kinda look. scandinavian streetwear or whatever you call that aesthetic edit: just checked on opumo, no longer available. they were similar to these

high end designer isn't uncommon though, often see people in giuseppe zanottis and buscemis (lmao), plenty of hba (before asap rocky killed it) and plenty of other streetwear fuccboi shit on a daily basis.

I guess it's somewhat natural to buy stuff to "fit in" or show that you're "in the know" but I wouldn't drop $500 just for that (not saying that geos aren't worth that much, just that it seems like an odd reason to spend so much)

I was talking about a friend of mine wearing a tie bar last month and someone asked "how do you know all this?" a close friend replied for me that i was really into clothes and i got a surprised reaction because all they ever see me in is soccer pants and hoodies. i wouldnt drop a bunch of money just for someone else to see and know im in the know. i did that with me cps at first, but now I'm satisfied with how they fit in my wardrobe. - lich how's the ol shirt?
