I don't think ln-cc ever went as low as 80% off, most I remember was 70 and only on their cheapest stuff. I think they just want to shift their stock asap, didn't they have cash flow problems last year?

Unrelated: do you guys think a leather jacket will look good on someone who's XS (provided I can even find one in that size)? I spotted this APC on heavy sale and wondered if I could pull off something like that, considering I'm only 169cm (5ft 6.5in). All my tall friends seem to be able to rock a moto or something easily :/

consider that's just a varsity i doubt you'll have any trouble wearing it, you'll probably end up looking like a college kid at worse.

Don't see why you couldn't. Only issue I have with those photos is I think it looks kinda ordinary for £300+ (but thats just my taste more than anything). But if the materials are super awesome and it fits you well and you like it, I'd just buy.

Just make sure it fits your arm length. Saggy arm leather jackets usually look horrible and make sure you look short.

just get a toj0 instead
one of the few occasions where i think toj is better for the price/material

also rick has never gone at over 30% discount before. eg, gilt sells shit from 3-4 seasons back at only 20% off.
the prices are cut pretty deep at tres bien as well, so idk whats going on atm
imo signals a shift in marketing from ro more than anything.

I wasn't referring to that exact jacket, it was just inspo, more of a leather jacket in particular, ton or schott or whatever else
I just never thought about leather jackets as a thing I could pull off, so I never looked into them. Tbh I find varsities pretty cool, not many people wear them in Europe. That particular apc has 22" p2p on a small though.

there's a nice varsity jacket here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/400848/patrik-ervell-denim-blue-suede-varsity-small-price-drop

it probably fits like a xs in other brands, ask for measurements anyway.

Can anyone advise on asia (HK) uniqlo sizing? Paging andyrau/pulselol

One of my aunts is going back to visit and I'm going to ask her to cop me some basic tees, heattech tops, and airism underwear. Uniqlo HK website doesn't have any measurements, and I've been burned in the past proxying M sized uniqlo dress shirts from asia (I'm a S in north american sizing) which fit well in the shoulders/body but the sleeves are 2-3" too short. To complicate things further, I want to size up on some of the tees and heattech tops to show more hemline under layers...

The "ideal" physique is some arbitrary and deeply politicized standard a narcissist society like ours pressures everyone to adhere to. Everybody's body is different, and clothes shouldn't be telling people how their bodies should look like. Not saying wearing pod shorts frees you from that cultural conception but wearing yohji kinda does, especially for women. Ironically lots of anti-fit stuff actually looks better on physically fit men than slim stuff looks on them.

Let's like, keep this civil and without resorting to calling everyone retards for disagreeing like on sufu. Some people are genuinely curious but may come off as insulting without meaning to.

Didn't mean to stir up anything.
I think there is some actual substance for argument here: Bagginess allows for increased range of motion.

I definitely think that suits are relatively impractical in the way that they restrict range of motion, but the manner in which they restrict range of motion accentuates a well built frame. Baggy shorts restricts range of motion in a way that does not accentuate the human form.

The 'ideal' physique is not arbitrary, at least with men. It's pretty simply survival of the fittest, being strong and lean is a strong indicator that you are healthy and capable. A dude who's 300lbs at 5'2" is not going to run down a wooly mammoth. He's also not going to out-run a bear or a tiger, and more likely to die of a heart attack.

While everyone's body is unique, you should strive to keep your body fit and healthy. I definitely judge people who clearly don't care about their fitness, to me it shows that they don't know how to take care of themselves.

well by "ideal" I was thinking of only for example tom ford suits which accentuates broad shoulders, muscular chest, thin waist, etc, you can be fit and not have a prominent v-shaped body, and a lot of designers make clothes with only thin, not muscular and athletic bodies in mind. I associate the slim muscular silhouette, especially in formal wear, with wall street, bourgeois types, and in street wear with like what cristiano ronaldo wears, which is all bad. I know you didn't necessarily mean that athletic people should all wear tight clothes to accentuate their body types, but that's in general a very tacky aesthetic. Like I said, I personally don't like brands that only make cuts for waifishly thin people either, it's a very practical disagreement as I'm not gonna avoid the gym just so I can keep my chest narrow to fit into thin people's clothes. Hence why loose fits are the most versatile, but yes no matter what, being fit makes you look better in everything.

Pls recommend a nice, clean black or grey backpack that can fit a 15" laptop comfortably and not visvim expensive and that's not made of fancy leather that says look everyone I have a luxury backpack. I found two thus far, black one is headporter which I'm leaning towards, the grey one is cote&ciel which looks like something tech ninjas would wear.

Just for your reference,

I'm 5'10 / 180 lb, and I'm between L and XL for polos and Ts. L would probably work nicely for you.

Survival of the fittest is an arbitrary criterion though. I will never chase a bear or chop wood or lift anything heavier than 40kg (if that), why would I care about how my defined my muscle groups are?

@zulu: go for the cote et ciel, that thing is brilliant. Make sure you get the medium size though because the large is for the 17" and is huge.

well asian larges = slightly big medium in the west so i think that's your best bet? accounting for cold wash shrinkage it should just be a regular medium in the end.

fit and healthy does not mean six pack abs. (having six pack abs for a long period of time is not very healthy btw.)
