Just before I was leaving for IEM in China I saw MC watching this really weird Korean movie.... But I forgot to ask what it was called and I cant find it on his computer =.=~! Hes in Germany now and probably wont be on MSN in forever so.... I come here.
I watched like 30 seconds of it but here's what I know - or think I know anyway:
- It's Korean. - It's about a guy who kidnaps a bunch of girls, making them all live in a room wallpapered in what looked like newspapers. If they want ANYTHING (food, clothes, whatever) they have to have sex with him. - The girls develop some kind of Stockholm syndrome/competitiveness with eachother, and they slowly build up stockpiles of fancy things (like clothes, jewerly etc).
So far it sounds like the setup of a Japanese porno, but I have to find this movie now. After going through like the first 6 pages of Korean movies from the last 2 years I gave up and turned to TL -____-
Anyone have any idea what the hell the name of this movie is? Googling for it turned out to be incredibly difficult, all I got was Old Boy (if the words Korean and Kidnapping are in the same search.... google gives you Old Boy).

Now increase the amount of kidnapped women. Holy hell you're doing nothing but fetching them stuff and having sex! It's like a Twilight Zone story where you think its' great but you're really in Hell! Obviously, the conclusion of this movie is death by snusnu. Then the main character goes to hell for being a kidnap rapist.
I think the reason Jinro is so intrigued with this movie and wants to see it is because he can relate to those girls. It's basically the same setup as a progaming house, except games instead of sex.
No help on the movie, but perhaps you can try snooping on MC's computer some more.
but can't you just go back to MC's computer and search for large files over 500MB if you want to find his porn stash. Tools like Disk Space Fan can help you figure out where his porn directory is.
Or maybe he was watching it online, so you'd have to check his browser history. But he can always clear the history. You could see if the site left any cookies or flashcookies (use FlashCookieView) with links back to the video page.

Yeah but I mean, when I googled the torrent name and got girls generation songs I assumed MC had just downloaded a SNSD video --- he has plenty of music related tv shows etc so it seemed in line.
Anyway, no subtitles it seems so gotta wait for it to be available anywhere other than filesharing sites I guess.
What the....I'm curious as to how this movie ends like...whats the plotline, if they're getting the stockholm syndrome then there isn't really going to be an escape plot.
It has neither explicit nudity nor a somewhat realistic storyline nor convincing actors (well, who'd expect that?). Trust me, it's not worth the 65 minutes you'd need to watch it.

It only sounds tiring if you think (erroneously) in terms of climaxes. If you kidnapped three women, you may as well take your time and do whatever you want all the time (which is not to say you should ever force someone into sexual slavery).
To be honest the Vengeance Trilogy are the most famous set of Korean movies in the US and Europe. A lot of art school students, film students, or people that are interested in international films know of Park Chan Wook and his Oldboy (most famous), Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and Lady Vengeance. Park Chan Wook is also directing another film called Stoker (2012) that would be his first debut in Hollywood and his first film directed towards a western audience. It includes Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska, Colin Firth also accepted to take on a lead role, but he later dropped it. I'm looking forward to that after his lackluster success with Thirst, which I didn't like as much and didn't get the attention that Oldboy got even though a lot of money was invested.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance was indeed awesome. The whole vengeance "trilogy" is actually awesome. You've probably already seen all of them but it's worth pointing out anyways. Oldboy is the best of the 3 hands down imo.

You should watch Love Exposure. Japanese, not Korean, but one of my favorite movies. Quite fucked up, but if you like dark comedy, you'll probably enjoy it.

The subs are timed to the file from asian cinematic. I hope you enjoy the movie! As for me, it wasn't the best movie I've seen, but it wasn't the worst I had seen and it was interesting to watch.
While it may sound like generic japanese porn, it turned out to be a pretty interesting movie. It explores stockholm syndrome and human jealousy combined in an interesting way.

I've seen a few posts in the past before on blog section asking questions like these, its nothing wrong. It also saves you hours and hours perhaps even days of trying to find the movie yourself ESPECIALLY since he isn't fluent in Korean.

Thank you for the subs Munchinghippo! I'm watching this movie now.. and it's quite freaky... how much the girls start to like him. Anyway this thread has brought up a ton of other disturbing movies to my liking.
Just a quick question about the film. Like 3 minutes in to the movie and the taxi driver is driving the 2 girls, what are the little drinks the one girl asked if they were for sale?
I see them in Korean and maybe Japanese movies quite often and I'm just curious as to what they are. Can't really seem to find them on google or anything; I'm guessing it's some sort of electrolyte heavy drink?

"The man from nowhere" is pretty good and a lot easier to watch than the usual suggestions you get when asking for korean films. Give that a try.

Ok, I tried watchin the movie in question but had to stop cuz its just so bad. Production is bad, storyline is bad, acting is bad and looks ridiculously fake. I wasted 20 minutes of my life on this. Jinro I blame you.

I was inspired to watch it at the point where he told me that it was, infact, not a porno.
I kinda like fucked up Korean movies, though I prefer when they try to be fucked up in some other way than being disturbingly gory/realistic. Anyway, as there are no subtitles I ll probably not be able to watch it I guess.
As an example of the kind of fucked up movie I DONT like, we have "I spit on your grave". I made the huge mistake of trying to watch the remake of this movie without really knowing much about it.... Had to give up after like 20 minutes because it was just too god damn much.
Fucked up movie that I did like would be something like Sympathy for Mr.Vengeance.
You should watch Love Exposure. Japanese, not Korean, but one of my favorite movies. Quite fucked up, but if you like dark comedy, you'll probably enjoy it.
I found a torrent with that name on his PC, but when I googled it, Girls Generation videos came up - god damn movie has the same name as one of their songs.

..... I spent like 2 hours googling it, then I spent another 2 hours looking through every movie that had been released in Korea in the last 2 years. I think I have done enough for the site in my 10 years of posting here, and spent enough time on my own trying to track it down to not feel bad for making this thread.
Yeah, ok.......But FOUR hours spent looking for something like this, upon the basis that you saw a 30 or so second clip of it...? That's seriously sick man. I'm sorry but theres really no other word to describe it. : /
Lol I was doing other things in the meanwhile :D Im pretty obsessive when I remember something but I cant find it... Yesterday I also accidentally closed like 30 tabs and couldnt get them back, so I spent a couple of hours going through the entire last months browsing history....
