i would make a list of tragedies of the last years and after travelling back in time i try to prevend as many of them as i can. also i would make a list of lottery numbers.

i would travel to the future and slap myself for not posting/applying, and that future slap is ringing so hard it echoed through the past to the current present time, where i am nursing my cheek and posting!

I wouldnt even consider going back in time, because fixing something or changing it could result in worse things. I would probably go to 1st July 2012, because there will probably already be Diablo III and I would have 2 months free of playing it, haha!

I would travel forward 10 years and see the major stock moves and unexpected happenings, then use that knowledge in the present to build my fortune. I think after reading 40k novels since I was 12 I certainly would go into the future 100 years at a time till I discovered if there really were gods and other races etc out there.

I'd travel to 1895, to meet H.G Wells when he just finished writing "The Time Machine" and to give him an aneuvrism. A close second would be coming back to the time Stephen Hawking asked "if time travel existed, where are the time travelers?", just in front of him. There would be the benefit of knowing what happened in the next years (as it's quite recent compared to 1895 :p) but 1895 has the benefit of having no computer to speak of yet and I could live and study long enough to work on the first turing machines

I think I would go to the initial alpha testing period for the game so I could get involved when Achron was just a baby. This way, I could know how the game plays and all the anagrams used in the videos so I would actually understand the game I will be playing in the future (which, of course, I would have gone forward to view because I can travel through time)

As a huge boxer fan, I would go back in time just to watch Boxer beat Yellow in all those major events.

Take a copy of FFXIII and go back to when they started developing it and smack them across the face with that copy. Then go on a GTA style rampage (Tank cheats included) and then poof back to today to see that I've changed the world line and now Akihabara is messed up world peace has been attained...

I would wait until the winner is announced, copy his post in this thread and then travel back in time to posttime -5min and win the competition and then I would still lose against me of the past who entered the competition 5min earlier!

Oh well, i would take some really good notes of events like lottery numbers, stockmarket development and some other good stuff for getting easy money because of the knowledge and travel a few years back in time, ....and THEN i would take over the world (in a totally "normal" and non-perverse way of course without the killing millions and stuff)

I would travel to a time closer to the end of the Roman Empire and try to prevent all the technology and knowledge from being lost. Imagine how advanced we could be if we didn't lose their knowledge (which put us into the Dark Ages)! Another time I would go to is back when I was in high school to tell myself to do my homework and not play MMO's all day :D

I would travel back to 1999, when I started playing StarCraft.
So that I would take playing SC:BW more seriously and thus would've been in the GSL playing StarCraft 2 once SC2 came out.

Hmm, i naturally should travel to dos omething significant in time. However i am just tooo curious to actually and if my time machine can fly, honestly i would try to travel into the past. I was always fascinated by Dinosaurs, so i would try to travel to a time where there we're a lot of awesome dinosaurs, around 80 million years before our time. The one restriction i have to make is that i would only travel there, if the time machine lets me fly. Otherwise i would travel into the 19th century and become a scientist. Not only would i become the most famous person of all time, also i would contribute to the advancement of humanity(electricity, biological principles like bacteria and infections etc.)
