I was at GamesCom. I'd say 90% were pretty "normal" people. Many many good looking guys and i was quite amazed by how much beautiful girls there were. Oh and im in pretty good shape too.. I guess they just picked the ones they needed for their story.. TV smells bad and has no time to make good broadcasts  | ||

All kinds of accusations have been thrown towards gamers. I mean what we can do is just.... show them wrong. Show that the smelly awkward people are not the majority and that gaming is a legitimate hobby that an adult can do. However I don't think being all up in arms will help dissipate all those preconceptions about gamers. Its like when Roger Ebert said that games can't be art(his opinion although I dont agree) and inmediatly tons of childish whiny gamers made a crapstorm about it, I don't think that kind of stuff helps paint gamers in a positive light.
