They're both establishment republicans. The difference is that Gingrich has more conservative conviction than Romney does.
Really?
Gingrich has no conservative conviction. Furthermore, it was in a few debates ago he even admitted freely that he was for an individual mandate (and has said it is our duty to pay for Nationalized healthcare), and he has appeared numerous times with Nancy Pelosi in support of carbon taxes and other schemes. I could go on and on down the list. The man is a complete and total fraud.
I'm aware of all of those lapses in judgment and have talked about them previously in this thread. Despite all of that, and as scary as it sounds, I still think that Gingrich, on the whole, is more of a conservative than Romney is. Romney is too amorphous.
Rick Perry is such a tool. His campaign is over, but he was always meant to replicate Ron Paul, be the younger Ron Paul, but obviously failed, because being a Ron Paul is not someone can just replicate. It takes a lot of courage, wisdom and understanding to be Ron Paul.
The clear winner of the tonight's debate was Ron Paul:
ATLANTA (AP) — Republican Herman Cain criticized President Barack Obama for canceling the space shuttle program — a decision actually made by President George W. Bush — as NASA shifts its focus on travel farther from Earth's orbit.
In a speech Saturday to young Republicans, the Georgia business executive was silent about sexual harassment accusations that have jolted his presidential campaign. Four women have accused Cain of sexually harassing them when he led the National Restaurant Association more than a decade ago; two of them filed complaints. Cain has denied wrongdoing.
In his speech, Cain praised President John F. Kennedy as a "great leader" for inspiring a national effort to put a man on the moon, a goal achieved when astronaut Neil Armstong stepped onto the moon's surface in 1969.
This is what I can't stand about this country, keep in mind Obama wasn't the one who ended the Shuttle Program. Also a Republican Candidate is attacking a Democrat for cutting government jobs while encouraging private growth.
To add salt to the already embarrassing wound this will not be brought up in the debates.

Seriously this pisses me off. Its not about principles anymore, only popularity. How the fuck is it possible to take the stance that less government is better, then in the same breath bitch when government gets small. Either hes stupid and/or he thinks im stupid, in both cases hes not getting my vote.
Sean Hannitty does the same thing btw. He thinks individuals should take personal responsibility while in the same breath says drugs should be illegal. . . and look at his popularity.
*edit* What a fucking warrant less attack on Obama, this is what i mean when i say its about popularity and not principles. Attacking Obama is popular for republicans EVEN when they contradict their own principles. . . WTF. Im not a fan of Obama btw and you dont have to be to see how stupid this election process is.
" In other news... A large quarrel in recent GOP-debate was the last straw to break the camels back: The grand old party has died. The beginning of the end was when Backman announced that she was no longer able to support the line in the party and ended up creating the TEA-party. The TEA-party has a serious strenghtening in religion, specifically creationism as a must in the schools and death penalty on abortion. God has not been reacheable for a comment. After a series of claims of ungodly conduct the rest of the candidates agreed to disagree and two new parties evolved: The Authoritarians and the party Left. Left has Colin Paul as the main character and is intended for people unsatisfied with Obama and specifically catered towards the OWS, "Cause those people are as american as apple pie", as he said. Left has gained support from Romney cause as he said: "You can never go wrong if you support all sides of every issue!". The Autoritarians lead by Herman Cain has been lobbying for making smoking a duty and making the taxes regressive. Rick Perry supported the noble causes, but he could not remember why... We have no current information on Ron Pauls association and frankly we don't care!"
This is the news-stories in caricature! I hope the onions like it.
Holy hell did Newt and Romney just actually say they would actively try and remove the current regimes in Iran, and Syria via action to covert with military not out of the question....?
The crowd at the Republican debate is clapping for enhanced interrogation, i.e. torture. I don't understand Republicans. Live stream of debate (didn't see a link in the last few pages so I thought a link would help): http://nationaljournal.com/cbs-nj-foreign-policy-debate

Bachmann's response to Ron Paul was hilariously revealing. Osama didn't give 9/11 victims due process so why should we. Great moral high ground there lady.
Also she seems to have a thing for China's socioeconomic policy.
