Keep it civil guys. Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in insta bans. The same goes for conspiracy theorists and stupidity generally. Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan. This thread is specifically dedicated to the details surrounding the raid/his death.

There hasn't been any sort of comfort or condolence after 9/11. So many people needed this to move on.

AKA already dead in a private hospital (mansion) so they turned his body over, but not before putting one between the eyes of the corpse so you all could be like.... Ameericuhhh Fuck yeeeee Damn for real? Thats what really happened? You should hold a press conference since you have all the facts. The funny thing is that if they found him already dead of old age they would still be celebrating you do know that right?

Well, he was 54, not 70+. But your main point stands, his death may not have a very significant effect on the actual conflict in the Middle East. However, this remains a huge symbolic victory for the US, since they declared their intention to find him almost ten years ago. To most Americans, he's a symbol of 9/11, so I can understand why they'd be so happy to finally hear this. It's about retribution.

He said that after a firefight with a JSOF unit, he was dead. There is no implication that he was 'executed after the fight'. That's you misinterpreting words. The US & allies do not espouse extra-judicial killings, nor does Obama - just look at how the "Kill Team" was received by media & military recently.

So are you, and the other... idiots... who are saying that this is useless and even bad for everyone and not big news, proposing that we should have let a mass murderer live and keep being the top symbol and spiritual leader of terrorists around the world, and letting him continue as the official director of Al Queda which had conducted major terrorist attacks all around the world like 9/11, the London subway bombings...?

Europe is dealing with Al-Qaeda all over the place. Al-Qaeda and the Taliban have littered their land with explosives that kill civilians every day. If you aren't happy to see this megalomaniac terrorist leader dead, your beliefs are jaded, to say the least. And he isn't a "martyr" now. No one is going to feel the urge to join Al-Qaeda because their leader got shot in the head while hiding in mansion....
