Although a Long Ton and a Metric Ton are almost the same 1016 kg vs 1000 kg. So the nest probably weighs about 1360 kg, assuming the original figure is in Short Tons. | ||

The third egg was apparently laid a week after the second one and it has started to be opened now. The "guys in the know" arent worried that the third one will not get enough food since these eagles have raised 8 eaglets in the last 3 years ... so exciting times are up ahead! | ||
