I just read through this entire thread for the first time. I think I need a drink.
It's an evocative thread, I will do my best to add to it.

If anyone has taken the time to look up Kevin or possibly even watch the documentary made about his life/death. He confined to friends that he waited 20 minutes for the bird to fly away, once it did not, he chased it off..but left soon there afterwards and sat under a tree, lit a cigarette, and cried while he talked to god.

Notice the bombers out of position...

The bombs slow down laterally once they hit wind resistance, whereas the planes continue at their current speed. Those bombs are not going to hit the planes below.

+ Show Spoiler +Taken during the May 2007 Karachi riots in which 45 innocent people were killed by animals who live amongst us.
This city often goes through days like these, and it's just maddening. Quite a compliment that we have the calmness of the arabian sea all along us.
We don't deserve the ocean, we need it.

This is so depressing. Anyone who knows anything about physics and mathematics that has ever put pen to paper to explore the possibilities of wind power would know how much of a fool's errand it is.

thats sad stuff right there T.T - fucking journalists only care about money, no regard of human life and common dignity. Its like the picture says, "lets suck the last piece of money that we can get out of this shit girl like the good capitalist we are".
On May 12 2011 07:35 exeexe wrote: Journalists dont have a job to do. They have the option to do their job, that means they have a choice. Also one must take into consideration that this picture is not a single case. It can be extrapolated more or less to the entire guild of journalism. And when all journalists behaves like that it sends a message. The message is saying, "dont help people, do your job. Your job and your career are more important than helping victims". So what do we get? We get a population suffering from mass psychosis that makes them care less for each other and more for themselves.
Lead by example as they say.. And thats what is happening. (Photo)Journalists don't do what they do for the money. They do it so that these tragedies don't get lost in the dark. They bring these stories to rich, developed countries, and try to illuminate these situations so that the greater good can be served through the charity of an entire nation, rather than one single person helping as the rest of the world remains ignorant.
Also, I think it's kind of strange that you're expecting the journalists to help this girl. She's not lying there because she's tired, hungry, or sick. It's because she was shot in the face by the police. I really wonder what you expect them to do to help her out. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1244660/Haiti-earthquake-Schoolgirl-looter-Fabienne-Geismar-killed-bullet-head.html
Talk all you want about evil capitalists trying to exploit tragedy, but without journalists documenting the tragedies (in Haiti for example), there would never be any hope for charity in the world.
