Before 1942, the Bellamy Salute was the proper way for Americans to salute the US flag. It was based off the classic Roman Salute. Interventionists sought to paint isolationists as nazi-sympathizers by showing pictures of them performing the salute while cutting out the US flag. To avoid controversy and confusion, FDR had the flag code changed to the hand-over-heart salute. + Show Spoiler + Some examples of how messed up gerrymandering is in the USA.

The caricature satirises the bizarre shape of a district in Essex County, Massachusetts as a dragon. Federalist newspapers editors and others at the time likened the district shape to a salamander, and the word gerrymander was a blend of that word and Governor Gerry's last name.

+ Show Spoiler + Description copied from http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/02/world-press-photo-contest-2011/100008/ In this image, the winner of the World Press Photo Contest 2011 by Jodi Bieber, South Africa, Institute for Artist Management for Time magazine, is Bibi Aisha, an 18-year-old woman from Oruzgan province in Afghanistan, who fled back to her family home from her husband's house, complaining of violent treatment. The Taliban arrived one night, demanding Bibi be handed over to face justice. After a Taliban commander pronounced his verdict, Bibi's brother-in-law held her down and her husband sliced off her ears and then cut off her nose. Bibi was abandoned, but later rescued by aid workers and the American military. After time in a women's refuge in Kabul, she was taken to America, where she received counseling and reconstructive surgery. Bibi Aisha now lives in the US. People still don't waste time lining up, but they stay there all day and it's always hard to find study spots on a 13 floor library. I think it's the largest single library building in North America. Well, the Library of Congress is in North America and by far the largest library in the world tehee I'm so funny there's millions of words in this picture

Since we're dealing with Mayhem, it really is hard to avoid bringing this picture up. According to wiki he's still in jail. It's is NOT safe for work and NOT for the weak-hearted. EDIT: before I get banned it's probably best to leave this out. Google 'mayhem dawn of the black hearts' if you really want to see it. After you've done that, read this
