This thing goes everywhere with me, and does a lot more than just tell time. And I don't have to have something chaffing me at the wrist (could never get used to wearing a watch, even before I had a phone). Chaffing at the wrist, now I really have heard everything. Surprised you don't fall over with the weight of that phone in your pocket. I can't wear a watch due to how odd it feels

Cool dude, you don't like to wear watches and don't appreciate their value. If you are trying to be funny, then well, at least be a little original. Get out of here.

It does take some getting used to. I like the simple look of them, though.

Sure! It's a citizen CA0255-01E. They run on ebay for about $180-$200 USD. By the way, a lot of ads on ebay and other websites that sell this watch list it as having sapphire crystal, it doesn't. Don't let sellers tell you it does, I asked Citizen directly.

The eagle is so badass! Yeah the swastika is sick too. Meh. It's still a pretty bitching watch - just would avoid wearing it if I ever went to Israel.
Speaking of Israel... This guy makes my favorite watches ever pretty much: http://www.itay-noy.com/identity/
One day a 2k euro watch will seem like an OK investment. Not today though.

guy with the swastika nazi watch... that's so dope man I honestly am jealous and would buy off of you but that's collectors right there for life

Personally I avoid buying/wearing watches that don't have numbers or even notches on the hours like this. It's a bit difficult to read because you can easily read the time wrong.

Eh, that really depends. I believe it would be hard to "move" a watch such as itay-noy. I don't know many people who would buy it and I know a bunch of guys who love watches. Even more known watches such as Grand Seikos are hard to resell, because most people have the idea that expensive watches need to be swiss-made, or Rolex/Omega/Tag type of watches.
If you buy such watch you need to do it for yourself. It will be much harder to resell than a 2000eur Omega imo, and even Omegas/Rolexes lose value in time (unless they are limited editions of course). A good investment is what someone I know bought for under 10k eur: the Ulysse Nardin Monaco. This baby will only go up in price, being only 100 units in the world. You could sell it right now for over 20k eur imho.
![[image loading]](http://winarco.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Limited-Edition-Ulysse-Nardin-Monaco-YS-timepiece-big.jpg)
Also, speaking of hard to move watches, one of my holy grails is the Philippe DuFour Simplicity:
![[image loading]](http://dufourwatches.free.fr/simp1.jpg)
![[image loading]](http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachments/f2/537366d1318903093-best-most-detailed-finish-watch-movement-gr-dufour-simplicity-2.jpg) Over 30k eur, but such a beauty. And 99.9% of the people won't even know your watch is worth killing you for.
...just dreamy.
Edit: for those who have not heard of Philippe DuFour and like watches, I think you would really enjoy this: + Show Spoiler [Short Movie - Time Piece] +

Not sure if its good to just treat this as watch discussion too, but fuck i really want the 007 Seamaster.
I look at them so different though, I don't view the expensive watch as an investment becuase i wouldnt plan to sell one in my posession after buying. So if i do buy a 007 (which i tried on today...so gooood) its mine to pass down. I guess i could think about the pass down value, though.

I know someone who has the QOS 007 (the one with the pattern on the dial, from quantum of solace), it's really nice and I like it more than the first one, but... how much is it? I didn't think you could still find it. Or is it preowned?
Cool watch, and I know where you're coming from, you buy it to wear it and enjoy it, not keep it in a safe and resell it. Good for you!

I dunno how much longer it'll be out for... I saw it at the Omega store at a mall nearby (feel free to pm if you want exactly where). Not a lot more than I thought actually. $5000 (new), which is about the same as the classic Seamaster.
My only problem is that my Orient has a black face, so if I do buy one, especially a high end one, I'd like a white face. QSS is all black.

I got outbid today on ebay on a 1965 Seamaster DeVille. So pissed, someone sniped it last minute and I fell asleep on the computer. Would of been mine for 300 USD.
