Hahaha, 13 bucks at walmart. I can't even find a picture of the darn thing, cause it's so cheap. No date, and thing is uncomfortable as heck. Looks bad, but does tell the time.
I asked for a dress watch for christmas. Got this lol.

This seems a good a place as any to ask.. can someone who's knowledgeable about this stuff put a quick shortlist of, say, 3 models (cheap->decent->kinda expensive) that satisfies what I find appealing in a watch? It's for wearing with a suit, so definitely no metal bands, thin and simple (I hate cluttered watches). That's about it I guess.. A dream watch is something like this (which I obviously can't afford...yet) + Show Spoiler + ![]()

They've got a lot of beautiful watches in the $100-$250 range. http://www.skagen.com/en-US/products/Men/Watch/All/1.fx This one is similar to the one you posted, and runs $110, I think:

A dream watch is something like this (which I obviously can't afford...yet) + Show Spoiler + ![]() Easy, I wrote a freakin' essay on it a few pages ago. To short-list it: 1. Citizen Stiletto - Not what I'd call "cheap" but it's probably the cheapest "real" suit watch. It has good movement (eco-drive even), and great style for around $200. Just google images Citizen Stiletto for a variety of choices, or even go as far as searching for "Citizen Eco-Drive" for similar models (but not part of the Stiletto series). 2. Germans! Yes, they make some seriously cool stuff in this area. Stowa and Nomos are awesome. Just google Stowa Antea or just Nomos and you'll see what I mean. In-house movements, hand-wound or automatic, but pure awesomeness. Prices go over $500 though. 3. If you want stuff that's under $200, I say look though the made in japan area. Seiko, Citizen, Casio have some decent low-budget watches that look stylish. I wouldn't recommend other brands due to the fact that with these you know for sure that you get a decent movement as well. And that counts in the long run. Enjoy.

I am currently wearing a Sinn 856 UTC on a black leather strap. ![]() Great technology in the watch with tegimented steel case (significantly harder than normal steel) and a copper sulphate capsule to eliminate in-case moisture. Was about $2,000 after duties/shipping.

Good thing it was only $30 or I'd be kicking myself in the nuts if it was actually valuable.
